The official entry for the Dixon Clones is at 12! That's right kids, I said 12. We have the biggest class today! The strange thing is that all clones here are members! Updates later!

The race was great with 12 clones. I want to say a HUGE thank you to Jason and Karl for all of their help this morning! At 7:30 this morning, I had a kart setup for a yamaha and a clone in a sealed box, we put the kart together this morning and pulled off a 5th, I never even checked the tire pressure after I set them for this mornings practice.
Congrats to Karl on his 2nd win in a row! ;D

That's Awesome! Maybe the clone drivers need a home track and club to support, such as Dixon...

Dixon is our home track! All of the drivers are members of Dixon. Exactly my point! The NFRA might consider a home track once again... Between the X-over and GR series, there's plenty of opportunity to race other tracks, as well... Just a thought..

Hi-5 to all the clone drivers who were able to make the Dixon race. Reading the Message Board and seeing the pictures was great. I wish I could of been there. It Looks like it was such a fun race. The three of us will be at the next Gold Rush race coming up and I hope to see all the clones there as well. Man I hated to miss that race. And by the way Dixon is also my home track. I just have not done the paper work yet. I'm sure my sons feel the same way. We would be very happy to be part of the Dixon Club. See you guys soon.

Hey, that's my son helping Neil in the 2nd picture, I smell a conspiracy! Did anyone get any video? I tried, but it was really shaky and I kept driving off the end of the track trying to look through that tiny viewfinder! PS: I vote for umbrella girls with oxygen tanks for the next race. ;D

Clone Race Recap (to the best of my limited memory) Qualifying; Karl Cleeton was the man to beat and the only clone to break the 37 second range with a 36.9 time in his 2 lap qualifying. Most of the other 11 karts were spread out in the 37 second range with Chris Bachmann in 2nd and Neil Wakabayashi in 3rd, Dan Chase 4th Shawn Mills 5th and Jason Hernandez rounding out the top 6. Heat 1 In the 10 lap heat race, Karl Cleeton jumped into an early lead from pole postion followed close by Chris Bachmann and Neil Wakabayashi. Sevral laps into the heat race, Bachmann experinced kart trouble entering the Monza bank that side lined him for the remainder of the heat race. Wakabayashi moved up to 2nd and chase to 3rd followed by Jason Hernandez in 4th, Shawn Mills in 5th and Simon Whitworth rounded out the top 6. Main Event The 15 lap main event brought the spectators to the fence in anticipation of these brave racers and their death defying heroics aboard these awe inspiring finely tuned thoroughbred racing machines... oh wait, that was the TaG race. Several friends and family members lined the fence for the 15 lap main event final while most of the other racers packed up after a long weekend of racing. On the start, Cleeton jumped into a n early lead agin followed by Chase and Mills leaving the outside row hung out to dry. Shortly into the race, Mills made a pass for second which he never relinquished. About the midway point, Wakabayashi passed Chase for 3rd position entering turn 1. With only a few laps remaining, Bachman had moved from dead last to 5th postion and made a pass for 4th spot. Great drive by Bachmann in his Margay chassis! Final top 5 podium postions were. 1. Karl Cleeton 2. Shawn Mills 3. Neil Wakabayashi 4. Chris Bachmann 5. Dan Chase Great race, I can't wait to do it again!
