I don't know what times you were seeing from last Oct but I'd be happy to be going around in the 39s lap after lap. Were those times from the IKF race?

It looked like last October, you busted out a 36.955 in the main... Pretty fast! Yea, the IKF guys are who I was referring to. I'm shooting for at least breaking 45 seconds!

The track was run clockwise (backwards) for the October IKF race. Check the times from the first IKF in Davis (March, April timeframe).
I forgot about an appointment on Saturday so I won't be at the track.

I forgot about an appointment on Saturday so I won't be at the track. Yea, the Animal times were given to me by one of the IKF racers from May of 08. The winning time was 39.78, and his fast time was 39.75... Like I said, I'm shooting for under 45 seconds! (why set myself up for failure...) OK, if I can even get into the 40.somethings, I'll be happy...

Ahhhhhh, NOW that is making more sense. Going the normal direction I'd be VERY Happy with 39s. Heck, now that I think about it low 40s would probably make me giggle like a little school girl. LOL

I think Ron mentioned the surface had been repaired in certain spots so lap times may be better than last year. Ron - care to elaborate?

Yeah I hear they did some work on the hill and now it is a lot smoother (you can keep the fillings in your teeth AND pass!) I look forward to checking it out on sat.

I've been out of town all week.
As for times the October race if I recall was run clockwise (i.e backward). On the start lap the hairpin was eliminated to prevent collisions. It was then used for every lap after. The times are deceptive because the first lap was always the quickest with no hairpin. Times are about 39-42 depending on how you are running.
Work has been done widening turn three, filling many cracks, and grinding the surface. The sweeper is still bumpy, but not as bad.
