I am hopingwweather will be nice. FYI, this is what I received from Blue Max:
October 21, 2010
Attention Racers!!
It was agreed early this morning to allow CRE/Klotz out of its commitment to guarantee their portion of the prizes and responsibilities to promote Clonefest. Hal has put a lot of effort and time in trying to give the clone racers something different. Including putting up his own resources. We appreciate his efforts.
Blue Max However has not canceled anything yet and is still committed to Clonefest. We still plan on running Clonefest in conjunction with our club race. We just have to face the reality that we will not reach the anticipated 34 karts and that we will have to accept race day entries. The merchandise will be scaled back but there will be plenty to give out to make it worth your while.
There is definitely looming bad weather going into this weekend with rain in the forecast for Sunday. We are watching the weather closely and a final determination of canceling our club race including Clonefest will be made closer to Sunday as we feel its premature to make that decision at this point. If it is rained out we will be looking at a rain date sometime in November.

Looking like it's only 20% chance for Sunday at this point. Come on out and play!

Me too.
Do you think there will be any practice on Saturday (today)?
What happens if it is not raining, but the track is wet and has puddles of water on it?

They will dry off the puddles and try to race. That's what towels and brooms are for!

So how'd the race turn out? Between the 9ers, Talladega, Pats, and WS I couldn't see to coax my butt out of my chair yesterday. ;D

The Clone Fest was great fun. It was my first race and I enjoyed it a lot.
First, I would like to thank everyone for their help and suggestions. It is a little difficult trying to come up to speed (pardon the pun) on so many things at once.
In hindsight, I knew running the Clone Fest would be tough physically. But, I didn't know how much. I'm still hurting this morning.
It was definitely cool to place 5th (and receive an award) in my first race.
I even learned that you can make a train by connecting two karts together.

Lots of fun...wished we had more entries but those of us that were there had a great time!
I am still discovering muscles I didn't know I had in my upper body and bruises I didn't realize I had received on the lower parts ;D
Definitely a repeater!
Thanks again to Hal and Ryan for setting this up and contributing to the prizes!!

So who won? How many entries were there? What stories will you tell your grandchildren?
