Hi All, I was wondering a couple of things... First of all, I spoke with Leo and he is going to set aside a section for the NFRA to pit together. Is there a preference where? My thought was the back fence near the gun range or the middle. Also, how many spaces do we think we need? In other words, whose comin'? ;D Second, I was thinking I might bring a BBQ to the track for the NFRA to make use of. Blue Max will do their $2 hot dogs but they are just as happy to have everyone else do their own cooking. For that matter, Leo said we could cook for everyone and sell it ourselves if we wanted to. I don't know everyone's thoughts but I have 3 karts to manage so I'm thinking that if we wanted to cook for ourselves, great! If someone wants to organize cooking and selling burgers, dogs, etc , cool. Whatever you all want is fine by me. If noone else is interested I'm not hauling the barbie with me as it isn't worth it for just myself and the boys. So what are everyone's thoughts, ideas....you know the drill

I am coming. A bit dodgy as to whether I race or not, but if there is food you can't keep me away.
Don't care where as long as we are together.

I will be there on Sunday. I like to pit near the "stands", but am open to other spots. I barely have time to eat, let alone prepare lunch. So, whatever everybody else wants is fine with me in that regard.

I will be there to register, tech, and park my kart in the morning. Then I will go attend to my kids' Little League, and hopefully be back in time for the main. I will start in the back.

I'll be there. I was intending coming up on Saturday to get some practice in and make sure everything is good with the yellow machine.
I don't care where we pit, but it would be good to be together and I need space for truck and trailer.
Not too worried about food.
Simon.

Okay so that's a few of you...I know there are more out there. Tommy, Scott, Rich, Mike...you joining us for the fun? Anyone else?
I'm thinking it seems like it would be nice to have food but noone seems really BBQ oriented. Would people like to do sandwiches? I'll bring bread, some meat and cheese, condiments. Would that float everyone's boat?

I am BBQ oriented *after* the races, I like to weigh as little as possible during the actual race. I'll bring some stuff 'n things also.

I am going to try and make it out Sunday if I can. Im still waiting on some package of driving gear and spockets to arrive this week so I'm hoping it will be here in time. If I can make it out does anyone have some extra lead they could loan me on Sunday as I've never had the kart at the track or on scales and don't know if I'll make weight. I'm arround 180, what does an average clone weight? I think I make need to add anywhere from 10-20 pounds???

Just did my weights. My 2000 Top Kart with Clone, 40mm axle, newish tires weighed 156lb with gas up to the molding ridge (3"?). I weigh 175-180 or so or 191lb with all my gear on. I added a 10lb weight and figure I'll either add another 5lb up front (thinking two 2lbs straddling a frame cross member or put another gallon of gas in the tank and mark it.

I'll be there Sat and Sun. Back in the day I used to make a big production of lunch. Mongo sandwich, various snacks, fruit, etc etc. But these days I pack some beef jerky and maybe a banana or two and call it good. Don't get me wrong, a BBQ sounds great! It's just that if I have to work on the BBQ part, that is a sure sign I'll have to wrench like a mad man replacing an axle, brake rotor etc. As you may have noticed my preferred position on race day is kicking back in my chair with my feet up. ;D

... I'll have to wrench like a mad man replacing an axle, brake rotor etc. I thought putting fuel in the tank and air in the tires was wrenching like a madman. I don't think I have an "axle" in my tool box?

So I'm getting in the 10-12 range of people/karts (counting my clan). I'll check in with Leo about marking off a space for the NFRA. I going to go with sandwich stuff as it is much easier to manage (and heavan forbid I should make Brad wrench ). If people want to throw something on the table to share along with the sandwich stuff, feel free. I can't be out there on Saturday, so I'll see you all early Sunday.
