Just to make things interesting, what would you guys think about going back to our old way of doing points? Up until a couple years ago we used to reward qualifying performance as well. Winning the pole got you an extra point. Not much, but over the course of a season it could add up. Considering how tight the points were last year, (and I'm sure '12 will be even tighter), it sure would add some spice when we come down to the last few races. ;D
What I'm thinking is either 1 point for pole OR 3 points for pole, 2 for off-pole and 1 for 3rd. The second option maaay be too much since then we are talking about the same points differential as a finish position. Just throwing it out there....

In an effort to slow down the traffic into my email I'll share what I know....
Over/Under Line
Ron made the major sports books in Vegas and Reno. There is now an official line on how many races he will make this year. While the numbers seem low, I'm sure the bookies are taking into account his back problems, little league commitments and pending Supreme Court cases.
Vegas-4 (w/2 finishes)
Reno-5 (w/6 finishes
- I'm sure our Reno friends are affecting the line

The squares are filling up fast on which month Ron will get his WF! Right now, June and October are still open along with a few months of the '13 season. What I find realllly fascinating is '14 only has September open. WTH???
