Anybody have a starting point for gearing at PC?
GranPrix track if I am not mistaken

Rich, I have no WF data for the GP Track, but last year I ran a 15/64 on the Modified Perimeter layout. My notes say "Next time try a 65".
I'm guessing we will get onto the front straight faster on the GP track than the Mod Perim, so I might start out with a 64 again. Pretty sure Brad was running a tooth or two more than me.

Do not forget that the GranPrix track adds that speed killing hairpin turn, that then turns the snake pit into an almost uphill hairpin

I totally forgot we are at PC net weekend. I was at the Crossover with Daniel. Slow at practice, picking up speed for qualifying (7th ouot of 10). Finsihs ed Heat 1 in 4th. Finished Heat 2 in 5th. We had a pow wow about jets and smooth driving. He wanted to go for it with a long straight jet which makes you bog in the corners if you are not smooth. Start, turn 1, he jumped from 5th to 2nd and held off 3-4-5 who were trying to get around him every straight. he had too much het for them. They would close in the corners, and he would run away from them in the striaght. Second place crossover it was awesome. I am one proud dad.   Back to PC, the purpose of this thread. I spaced on ordering drivers and sprockets.  I hope I have time.  |

I saw the mylaps results last night Ron, that was a great result for Daniel. Well done to you guys !
I have a spare 15 driver if you need one Ron.

Thanks. Just bring driver to PC and I will install there. I will not be working on my kart this week, or Saturday. Between work, baseball and school functions I will be ready to collapse on Sunday.
Daniel was exhausted after the race and fell asleep on the way home while holding onto the trophy.

Ron, I ordered a couple of drivers last week so I could replace yours with a new one and have one for backup. Thanks again for letting me borrow yours. ;D
As far as gearing, I thought I was running a 64 but if Simon had that I was probably at a 66.

I actually found some notes from the last race at PC. I was running a 63t on the back?  ? Mod. Perim. track Did anybody notice there is a benefit race along with the club race this weekend? |
