I have a May 26, 2012, fun day in Davis scehduled for a couple of Kid Kart racers. To add to that I thought some WFs and some clones might want to have some fun too. I plan on getting there about 10:00.
For me my plan is to break-in a second engine, and learn how to tune and test, as well as maybe learn abiout the WF clutch. That also assumes I am not having too much fun helping the Kid Kart racers on the track.

Ron, it looks like someone hacked into your forum account.
There is someone on here posting under the user name 'ron90' and they are using words like 'test', 'tune', 'break-in', 'learn' & 'clutch'. That doesn't sound like the 'arrive, race & break' Ron that I know.

Because Brad is on vacation I knew you would be the one to bring that up. That really made my day.
The only reason I am even going to the track is because of the need for the Kid kart racers to practice and have fun. There is actually no guarantee that I will "tune" or "test" anything. The break-in is in progress because it is the necessary evil to a new engine.
Can "race & break" be my new forum name?

Yeah but if they say R&B then they will think I have some musical inclination. Instead I have the ability to cause severe breakage of my kart and parts while on the track.

Is that so you can learn by my errors and not make the same mistakes? Or is that so you can practice your driving skills getting around me as I become an on-track hazard? Or is it just so you can move to the front and win?

Oh so many reasons 1. If Ron's kart is in front of you during a race. Better than a 50/50 chances it won't make the entire race. 2. Watching you prep your kart and race kid karts. The pure exhaustion of it makes me tired. ( I wish my son would show the same interest or desire) 3. Who would Brad have as a target. And electronically diss in the middle of the day. 4. The pure excitement of having you spin in front of us during the warm up lap. 5. My personal FAVORITE! Who would we wave too in the infield during the middle of the race? |

Oh you just wait. Since the last race I have vowed to qualify on pole AGAIN. The difference will be that I plan on finishing. I have done absolutely nothing following that race to get ready, but I guess I still have time.

Ron, did you get your clutch figured out? Last night I tore everything apart and figured it out and switched it to inboard. Then I had contact with the seat and did not feel like moving everything more, so I put it back outboard. today I am getting shims for the clutch to add some gap to prevent the problem I had at PC. I anticipate having everything together for Saturday. I am also going through my son's Kid Kart and will have that one up and running. If I have time I will break in my BPed engine before Saturday. Maybe even swap it out at the track after I get some track time. Rich do you need anything so you can practice? |

I may be able to come out for part of the day. I need to get Keevan and I back going again. Hopefully we could come join everyone racing on the 3rd.
