A fun day was had by all. Me, Ron, Don (and his buddy) were there with our WFs and Ron's boy Daniel and his buddy Nikki in their Kid Karts. Testing was done, Ron has finally secured his axle in place and now knows how to take his jets out. I played with my new helmetcam and GPS telemetry. Rich came out to spectate and try and learn some secrets of speed. I'm not sure I like Ron testing, it seems to make him go faster. Demo helmetcam video here (I still need to figure out the rendering settings that work best with the HD format and youtube). youtu.be/H2RyHCUSLDs

If anyone is interested in getting the camera I'm using .... it just keeps getting cheaper. At $109.99 it seem like a screaming deal compared to the $299 Gopro HD Hero2 tachyoninc.com/microhd.php

That was fun. The best two parts for my practice day was trying to out-brake Simon into the hairpin. On one occasion I went so far into the corner I was on his bumper and whipped the wheel to prevent myself from hitting him.
The next best time for me was taking turn three wide (experimenting, and getting into the dirt. i found out later that Simon almost followed me into the dirt just like a lemming following another one off the cliff.
The best thing however, was being out their with everyone, and especially my son so the Kid Kart racers could practice.
I want to do some more carburetor testing, if I can only find the jet kit that I bought. I think a slightly bigger jet on the bottom end will help.
We also put Zlatin (Kid Kart Niki's dad) in my kart and sent him out with Simon. It really was a fun day.
FYI, I am not faster now, I can just drive more laps before I break something.
Signing off, R&B (Race & Break)

OK so I go out of town for a couple of weeks on vaction and now Ron is "testing" and "tuning"?? WTH? Did the Earth slip off its axis? Are pigs flying now? Or more to the point, are monkey flying out of my butt?? There is NO way this poser "ron90" is really Ron. Sure, some of you may have THOUGHT you saw him at Davis but I still call BS. More likely that was some sort of space alien in the FORM of Ron doing experiments on the gulibility of human race. I got $100 that says I'm right.... ;D Actually Ron, some of us depend on it. ;D Do YOU really say that Rich?? Mr. GasCap... Mr. Clutch Springs... LOL I think it is statistically proven that I have a 36% less chance of winning if you don't have some sort of, ahhhhh issue. Sure Ron (the REAL one, not this "ron90" character) has you beat with his dramatic flare (exploding rotors, self evacuating axles) but a missing gas cap and a right leg full of gas is just as effective as blowing shrapnel across the track. Oh so many reasons 1. If Ron's kart is in front of you during a race. Better than a 50/50 chances it won't make the entire race. And if you are BOTH in front the rest of us have a 75% chance that at lest one of you won't make the entire race. 2. Watching you prep your kart and race kid karts. The pure exhaustion of it makes me tired. ( I wish my son would show the same interest or desire) Damnit Rich, you just made ME tired thinking about Ron getting all those karts ready3. Who would Brad have as a target. And electronically diss in the middle of the day. Whaaaat?4. The pure excitement of having you spin in front of us during the warm up lap. Yeah that is pretty special. Reminds me, doesn't some sort of ITM charge need to me made in files against that character for his antics at the last race??5. My personal FAVORITE! Who would we wave too in the infield during the middle of the race? Well a couple other options that quickly come to mind would be the 19 and 47! Can you guys practice that for Sunday for me? ;D

Brad: I missed your long winded, rambling, essay. I have now expended a lot of time going through it and I have two things to say.
It was me, and Davis, and
I WON at Prairie City. ;D
