Race weekend was great. We raced with the Animals on a shorter track without the long straight. I out qualified Brad but got turned around in one of the heats. Started behind him in the main a never could get by cleanly( more on that later)
I am uploading my first YouTube video of the main now. Still learning this video thing

Sorry for our slackerness. I don't know about Rich, but I was DEAD after this weekend. Even yesterday I was walking around halfway dazed. Full report will be posted shortly.
I WILL say this could be a very busy KC weekend....

FYI from Kart O Rama,
We were broken into Sunday Morning at 5:49am. They were professionals driving a U-haul van with the license plate covered or removed and were in and gone in about 2 1/2 minutes. One man took a brick, smashed the glass in the door, kicked and ripped the bars that were across the door off. He picked up an Arrow AX9 Cadet kart and walked through the front door, put it in the back of the van and came back for an Arrow Track Warrior with a Honda 200 mounted on it with tires and a belt drive. This guy is extremely strong to take a kart through a door and put it in the back of the van. I don't expect to see these karts again as this was pretty professional, Please keep an eye out just in case. I will put pictures and serial numbers on the website on Monday

Definitely a fun weekend. Dan was kind enough to pit with us and was an amazing resource for tuning and track knowledge. Thanks Dan. Lots of laps. Between Saturday practice and Sunday's 2 practice sessions, 2 12 lap heat races and a 17 lap main I was beat. After the changes Dan helped me with on Saturday I was feeling pretty racy. Put on new tires for Sunday and I swear I wasn't driving the same kart...but not in a good way. I can't wait to see Rich's video. I'm pretty sure it will show what appears to be a lot of looseness on my part. I was basically holding on. I've got to share with you something Rich did that showed outstanding sportsmanship on his part. As Rich said above I started in front of him in the main. When I'd look around and try to find him I couldn't so he had to be RIGHT behind me. What I didn't know was there was an animal right behind him. Somewhere I think around lap 12-14ish (we'll have to review the video) I get tapped in the left rear exiting the left hair pin at the abbreviated straight. Of course I start to go around and both Rich and the animal go by. Turns out that the animal had gotten into Rich and that's why Rich got into me. As I'm trying to chase down Rich I notice he was looking all around for me and wasn't trying very hard to go fast. It took me all the way back to the straight before I figured out he was trying to point me back around to regain the position. How classy is that? At first I'm thinking hell no, go man go, but then I couldn't refuse such a very cool gesture. I went by and the race was back on! I hung out in front the rest of the way but I think Rich was faster on Sunday...Saturday I'm not so sure about. But anyway, thanks Rich. I think you showed your colors on Sunday and I'd like to think we'd all do the same.

Nice ! Well done Brad and stand up sporting behavior there Rich. Sorry I missed it, looks like you had a good time.
Rich, when youtube tells you your video has camera shake and suggests it does the image stabilization, just say 'no', that why your uploaded video has that strange jello-vision effect.

Thanks Simon, I already went back and took the offered editing out. That was just causing seasickness. Are you familiar with Windows Movie Maker at all?

A good time had by all, and yes, probably one of the more physically demanding courses that we run. The boys figured out a few challenging turns, cutting tenths off of their times in the process. Weather was perfect, and yes, the sportsmanship demonstrated is one of the many reasons that the NFRA guys are so appreciated. Hope the weekend is good, and we'll see ya in PC!

I WILL say this could be a very busy KC weekend.... But I wasn't there how could it be busy. Still out of town and just finished our 6th baseball game last night. Our next game is at home for the Rivercats, and then the race is on. I will be crew chief for Kid Kart and racing World Formula.
