So.... Dixon have their second night race this weekend. In a moment of madness on Saturday night (and apologies to Mark and Scoots if our moments of madness kept them awake late on Saturday night) we thught we had so much fun, that we could come back and do it again as a non-points fun race.
Who's in ? Here's my theory on why we will be there again ....
- Ron was talking about bringing Daniel out to run KK, so he has no excuse. - Brad will do it as he, like me, has no will power. - Rich will do it because the rest of us will bully him into it and it's not his wife's birthday - Mark will do it as he was getting faster session by session and I think the next time out he will be running up front - Scoots, not sure, he might have CORA commitments and I don't know how many more F200 motors he has hidden away in his trailer - Leo, are you reading this ? We saw your kart last week ... seems really quick in the right hands, come out and prove you can do the same ! ;-) - The voices in my bottle of water say I have to do it, and the NFRA adopted pet mountain lion would love to see us back
To make it a less intense weekends I would intend to just arrive on Saturday lunchtime and just run the race, stay overnight, and head home again early Sun morning. You still get plenty of weekend for other activities.

I will not be at a Dixon race on August 18, 2012. I forgot that we already have an important dinner engagement scheduled. The weekend is set aside for parties and dinners before the kids go back to school next week. One night we are having a crawdad feast with family.
I also have to fix the kart. I actually did start taking everything apart. I also measured everything to buy parts to get my 40mm axle rebuilt and functional by the Reno race.

I'm very tempted. If my rib area heals up, I think I could make a 1 day race. (I've never done 2 days in a row before.) I'll need to make my wife happy during the week first though . Oh, but wait, what will we eat? Brad's feast was a big plus to the event. And, I'll need Scoots there for more coaching too. Hmm....

Mark, I'll be right across the pond at the speedway Saterday. Come on over and have the time of your life. you just need four or more of you to be your own race , with cash at the end! It would work with your set-up just like it is. And lets see just how well you realy drive! I would love too see you give it a try. I came out to play with you, now its time to try the dirt side! Hmmmm..... thanks, scoots Heck, you all knew this would be comming from ME!

I'm in...because, as Simon said, I don't have any will power. My only concern is how I will feel come Sunday morning. For those of you that don't know, Simon can be a terribly bad influence. Rather than my customary 2 beers after a race, Simon's influence caused me to have, well, lets just more than 2 beers. ;D Then all of a sudden it is 3:15 in the morning and I'm thinking crap, the sun is going to be up in less than 3 hours! Richhhh?? Donnn? Markkkkk?

You guys are going to get me in so much trouble!!!!
Does this mean I have to get new tires for Reno? By the way. the Reno race is on the short .446 mile track#2 Check it out. Almost like an Esses at PC

I think you are good to go for the rest of the season with what you've got! Track 2??!!?? Oh now THAT blows. That layout cuts off the best part of the track.... Oh well, at least the night race will be on the best layout...#6.

You guys are going to get me in so much trouble!!!! Two key points. First, we were already scheduled to race on Saturday (ok, in Reno rather than Dixon). Second, the overall number of races is the same as our original schedule. ;D So, are we gonna race or what? Oh, and I shot Scott D an email to see if he wanted to give it another try.

O.k., I'm in for Saturday if we have enough to get our own class. (I'd rather not run with the clones.)

Alrighty, we have 3. This is where the guilt tripping comes into play with Rich. ;D
Don, where are ya man??!! I was going to give you a call but heck if I have your number. Called Dan for it (be great if he could make make a nite race with us too) but couldn't get in touch with him.
Talked to Terry but he is at Luguna all weekend.
Also talked to Leo. He's already got something going on Saturday. But he is going to talk to Steve tomorrow about either Jeremy or Steve jumping in the seat.
Haven't heard back from Scott D yet.
Personally, I think at least 4 would be good.
I've also got an email out to Jessie to see when they are planning on starting. Seems like a later start time (where we wouldn't have to get there till 3 or 4) worked out pretty well last weekend. Also asked her about if we would be able to run by ourselves with only 4.

Cool, let's go racing then! Jessie said they were planning on starting at 4. Didn't respond to the part about getting our own race. I'll ask again...
