Well, how did you all do? Hmmm, well, this is what I recall... Ron decided to do an experiment as to which is tougher, his motor mount or the concrete berms. Seeing as how he came in with only one bolt holding his motor on I guess it is safe to assume the concrete won the battle. Scott was also in an experimenting mood it seems and used too big of a clip to hold one of his front wheels onto his kart. This resulted in a spectacular launch off the track when the wheel went one way and he and the kart went another. I could see the driver of the 9 pulling a bonehead maneuver like this but an engineer of the caliber of Scott?? WTH? Terry knocked over her gas container without the top on resulting in nearly 85 gallons of gas spilling onto the pits. Luckily, for once I didn't have a smoke hanging from my mouth so a major explosion was avoided. Simon arrived at the hot grid for the main with a socket attached to his spark plug rather than the customary rubber plug cap thingy. Of course then the question became, is the spark plug really tight or just finger tight? So Simon frantically had to run back to his pit to grab a ratchet to make sure. Wow, it seems like a quick copy/paste and most of the KC charges are done for the race weekend! Oh wait, there will most likely be one more...because the beer meister was at Cora so late the night before he didn't make it to the store to pick up the usual after race refreshments... A new KC charge may have to be defined for this offense. Other than that, for the second race in a row the fastest kart didn't win. But that's OK because the slower kart that did win was me, and I'm cool with it.

Yeah but I kept running, finished first in that Heat, and had the quickest lap time. One bolt rocks!!!!!!!!! However, after the experiment is over, I do not recommend it. I would love to see video of how Brad ran OVER my bumper, and then I immediately ran over the back of him. It was the wierdest situation. Then after the contact and I went off track (caused by Brad!!!! ) the flagger kept pointing the black flag and pointing me to the back. I could not figure out what he wanted. I was originally in 2nd place. When I came to the edge of the track to come back on, I let Brad go, and I could have re-entered. But instead, I let Simon and Scott pass, thereby placing me in 4th place, so I don't know what they wanted. One time around he pointed again, I looked back and saw nobody behind me and threw both hands in the air with the "WHAT!!!!!!" expression. He then let it go. I'll just chalk it up to .

To answer Scott's question .... Brad won ... again !!! He and Ron were the hot shoes of the weekend for sure. Congrats to Brad ..... I let him have a beer as a special treat. Scott and I were pretty a close match, but that battle ended when he lost his wheel. Terry is coming to grips with the WF package and is certainly picking up her pace. (and is now a skilled WF clutch rebuilder) Keevan is like a rocket at times (I got some good pushes on the straight in the 2nd heat ... Mychron says max RPM 7200 ?) and when he gets consistent in the corners could be setting some fast laptimes. Next stop Atwater .... I think .....

You all have a big rest before Atwater on the 28th so think about Dixon Speedway, March 30 and April 13. Put a Clone together and come out and have some fun. Even Sam comes out to play and has told me thank you for getting him out racing. Rich? Don? thanks, scott smith #27

Well personally I know I won't be able to make either of those dates. This weekend is my birthday and Cathy has a bunch of family coming over. On the weekend of the 13th we're going to a 30th wedding aniversary.
I think Rich and Don are ready for some dirt however! Speaking of Don, where are you man?
