There is a rumor that a certain racer was trying to start his engine with the kill switch. After several attempts , mumbled something about the stupid switch must be broken. I believe charges and witnesses will be listed at a later date

Rumor has it that you don't actually need to tighten the clamps that hold the exhaust in place. You simply leave them dangling around so those behind you are fearful of their safety, and concerned about passing.

No, that was because a wire kept disconnecting itself and I didn't think of it until I was in my seat.

Alllllllllright, if you have charges to bring, bring'em! The fact that the ground wire fell off the connector has NOTHING to do with other spurious allegations being bandied about. There are other changes in development that could possibly be the worst in the NFRA's history. All I can say at this point is there was a minor involved and the ultimate ridicule and shame was brought to the NFRA..... (course, there are probably at least 3 NFRAers worried at this point )

... there was a minor involved ... Are you talking about one of the kid kart racers? last I checked we did not race with them. Although if I did race with them at least I might have had a chance to win. Okay a slim chance to win.

Driver of the #14 - GVI One of the great things about karting is the bonding that occurs between father/son, father/daughter, mom/son, grandfather/grandson etc. when they are operating as a well oiled race team. Unfortunately, some teams are better oiled than others apparently. One the keys to a successful driver/crew chief relationship is trust. Trust that the driver is accurately relaying kart handling properties. Trust that the crew chief will make the appropriate adjustments are just a couple examples. More fundamental is the trust that the kart will be prepped properly so that it will be safe and competitive. The driver of the 14 violated this fundamental trust in a huge way. It is the understanding of the court that the driver of the 5 hasn't lost a race all year. So it was quite a surprise to see the 5 slow down and then completely stop on the track. The driver of the 14 ran out to see what the problem was. After scratching his head for what seemed like an eternity (causing the 5 to go down down approximately 67 laps) the driver of the 14 began furiously pushing the 5 around the track. When he reached the front straight he started yelling "Willie! Get me some gas!!" Initially it was kind of funny. The driver of the 14 is a known person at the SKK being the Vice President of the club. But what the capacity crowd saw was an incompetent crew chief pushing his driver around the track screaming for some gas....all the while wearing a yellow NFRA shirt. Ohhhhhh the shame of it all... The NFRA is accustomed to dealing with shame and embarrassment (see the driver of the 19 ready to disassemble his motor because his choke was on in Atwater). But what is particularly disturbing was seeing the violation of driver crew/chief trust exhibited by the driver of the 14. The NFRA will get over it (we always seem to anyway), but what about the driver of the 5??! The court recommends that if the driver of the 14 is found guilty that all fines collected be put into a special trust to be used for the therapy sessions the 5 will surely need down the road. This case will be continued until the Reno night race. Driver of the 14, failure to appear at that race will result in the most severe sanctions possible.

... the driver of the 14 began furiously pushing the 5 around the track. When he reached the front straight he started yelling "Willie! Get me some gas!!" ....... I forgot about that. It was hilarious. One of the other best parts was when the drivers in second and third place approached the front straight, seeing a kart being pushed they all stopped. they probably were wondering if they had to race anymore, or would they all get a push.

Hey Guys Little hard on the 14 car are we. Plans are to be at Reno to accept the punishment!!! Oh, trust me it has only just begun. I am only glad the target has been removed from my back, front, sides, top and bottom. When something goes wrong they are always looking for the "blue 90" kart.

Kaptn Roo, BRAVO!!!! It's become obvious that you missed your calling, but there's still time. Please print "Memoirs from the track: oh the stuff I’ve seen". A best-seller for sure. BYW, you guys MUST attend Nationals in Medford next year. You think Jeff is comical on raceday, you should see him afterhours, indulging tequila & lime!!
