Well we've got our first race coming up a week from Sunday. Some of us have been talking about trying to get some testing/practice in before the race. If the weather is nice this weekend we will be doing some practice/testing. Also, next Friday a couple of us are going out for some last minute practice. I think most of us are planning to avoid the Saturday practice before a race Sunday thing because the track is pretty zooafied. However, I still plan on going to the track that day to help out anyone who might need something but can't get out there any other time. We also have some of our Utah friends coming into town and I plan on being available for them on Sat.

I had scheduled the Friday before the race off, but all my shore leave got cancelled. So I only have this weekend.

Barring any bad weather, I will be at PC this Saturday (3/7) as well. I will be doing the alignment at BradH's tomorrow night. I believe Puddles will be out at PC this Saturday as well. For the race weekend I have taken Friday off work and will be out at PC getting in more valuable seat time and a good pit spot too! ;D By the way, is anybody good at bleeding brakes? I need some serious help with this

Have fun this weekend at P.C. The weather is supposed to be awesome. I am going to be at Blue Max all weekend (Swap Meet / Radar Gun Day, and Work Day).
My kids actually want to go practice but they will not practice at P.C. They have only driven at Blue Max and feel comfortable there.
I guess I will again go to a race (at P.C.) with minimal practice and no tuning. Oh well. It's all about the fun. Practice is always more fun when it is called qualifying.

Wait a minute Mr. Brad 42, the bylaws clearly state that I'M the resident Smart Azz. And, for your information they are NOT identical. My sprint motor has a NOS attachment that....oh wait, let me check on the legality of that part.

Any idea of what the Sunday race schedule will be for F200, NFRA or about what time the main will be?? We plan to be there if the weather looks good, don't like the idea of dealing with the I80 passes in a snow storm.
Thanks Mitch Wright Miller Motorsports Park

The season is upon us, and I am ready to race. I took my F200 to the track on Saturday, but I never started it. That's typical for my practice day. I started talking. I helped other people practice. But you know what? I had fun.
What is the schedule like for PC? Is it: Practice. Qualifying. Heat 1. Heat 2. Main.

Not exactly sure what the schedule will be in terms of when we will be on the track. It sort of depends on how many karters show up, how many classes are running and how many (hopefully none) red flag situations and/or other delays there will be. Me sense is the day will run something like this. Drivers meeting about 8-8:30, practice 8:30-9:15, qualifying 9:15-10, first heat 10-11:15, second heat 11:15-12:30, mains 12:30-4.
All of those times are strictly a guess based on past experience at PC. Not sure if Gary will be running the same way this year.
What I DO know is we will be running on the Perimeter track.
Mitch, the weather for next weekend is looking awesome at this point. Assuming it stays that way, when are you guys coming out? At least 4 of us will be practicing on Friday. I and probably one or two others will be at the track on Saturday (not to practice) to generally hang out for a while and provide any help we can.

We look forward to seeing you Mitch.
Some info from Gary at PC....
The season opener is upon us this weekend. So, here's the scoop on time schedules, catering, and a few reminders on rules.
Practice Days are Friday 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Registration will be open all day on Saturday and from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Sunday. All karts must go through pre-tech on Saturday before going on-track for practice. Karts pre-teched on Saturday do not need to be pre-teched again on Sunday.
On Sunday, gates will open at 7:00 a.m., and the race day will start at 8:30 a.m. sharp with all the regular stuff -- a drivers meeting, practice, qualifying, pre-main, and main.
Our new caterer is Mr. Pickles sandwich shop. They will be there at 9:00 a.m. for set up and will start serving at 10:00 a.m. They have a full menu of hot and cold sandwiches and beverages. All of the sandwiches are served on bread that is baked fresh at the track. Please remember that they need your support to make it worth their while to come out. They will close up around 2:30 p.m. -- about an hour before racing is completed. If your are one who needs lots of coffee in the morning, drink plenty at home or bring some with you.
Just a few rule reminders:
- The series spec fuel is 110 Leaded Racing Gas. Any brand is okay but must be 110 leaded and oil is your choice. - All weight bolts must be drilled and cotter pinned or wired through the hole. Safety wire around bolt threads will not pass pre-tech. - All kid kart and Junior 1 driver must have SFI 20.1 approved chest protector. - All brake and steering component connections must be drilled with cotter or wire in place or have e-clips or c-clips on grooved bolt. - Please check your karts to ensure all safety wire is in place before pre-tech.
Brake safety cables are not yet a mandatory item, but we encourage everyone to have them installed and properly adjusted.
We are looking forward to beginning the 2009 season and having a good time racing this year.
See you at the track,
Gary and Vic

Leaded? Wow.
110 octane is way to high for a Briggs Animal. I''ll run regular unleaded pump gas, as I have no classification, anyhow.
