Hello everyone, Anyone have any input good or bad about Road Rat XR? I found one for $600obo. I have Never karted before. I am almost done building an Emmick Clone for my daughter and then saw this Road Rat for sale. Price seems pretty good as it is a complete running kart. I thought it may be fun to run around with my daughter from time to time.
I guess what I am asking is that a decent price for a running 196cc road rat kart? It appears to be in pretty good shape. Would it be suitable for dad just getting some track time with the kids. If I got the itch could it be ran in like a sumo class?
Sorry if the questions are silly, still really new to karting.
Thanks, Ryan

If it runs and rolls and it fits you AND...the price is within you, it's probably good. It's 'Only' a Clone and it Will Not overpower you....you'll be good-2go! BUT...No, I have never heard of a 'Road Rat XR'. (ps....there are No silly questions in karting for the 1st '5yrs'

I found the following:
In conclusion, the Road Rat is an enigma in the karting world. It is a Chinese knock off of what the American and European sprint kart builders are making, for 1/4 the price.
SOme sites then ask:
Is the quality there? Will it hold up on the dirt? Could it be competitive in asphalt sprint racing?
