Hotels in and around Marina

So I did a quick search of hotels near Marina (and Salinas) on Kayak.com and here's a few I came up with. Prices are per night.

Motel 6 Salinas North - Monterey Area: $56
Good Night Inn, Salinas: $58
Laurel Inn Motel: $64
Days Inn, Salinas Airport: $72
Motel 6 Monterey Marina: $86
Americas Best Value Inn: $89
Howard Johnson Inn Salinas: $102
Howard Johnson Marina at Monterey Bay: $124
Ramada Marina: $150
Comfort Inn Marina: $160

Personally, I'm on a budget, so I'll probably book something in Salinas on the cheaper end of the list. Long as it's got a shower, a bed, and it's clean, I'm good to go.

Don't book anything quite yet Paul. Brad and I were looking at the options near Marina. Brad, did you talk to Jeff ?

In the past we used the Laurel Inn in Salinas as it's the only place in Salinas that isn't completely ghetto. It would be nice to stay in Marina and be closer to the track if possible.

I've talked to Jeff but not about hotels. While the HJ is closer, I'm not sure it is worth an extra $50. I vote for the LI again.
