So as the title states, Premier clutches pretty much suck!! I just tore apart my clutch to try and figure out why it's sticking. This is the second straight race I've been fighting this issue. Any many of you noticed in the pits it was bugging the crap out of me and causing large quantities of undue stress. Well, after looking everything over, it turns out the stupid bearing inside the drive sprocket walked its way out and was jamming itself against the snap-ring creating friction! As far as I'm concerned, this shouldn't even be happening and is a defect by design (Lame!) I guess pressing the bearing back into the sprocket will just have to be another "maintenance" item until a better solution is put forth. Rant over - back to the garage. See ya'll at Prairie City

I have had that happen a couple of times Paul. The trouble is once the bearing starts walking out, it's hard to keep it in place. I have heard giving the housing a good pop with a center punch can stop them moving, but I have yet to try that trick.
To my mind, that clutch is by far the worst component of the WF package. If the bearing isn't working it's way out, the thing is juddering and clanking, or if you manage to get it set up to run smoothly, the springs just break for no apparent reason.
For a clutch that cost that much money, that is unacceptable.
