OK, after the debacle of this last race. I completely tore down the rear end of the kart. Washed the frame and assorted parts.
No visible cracks or breaks in the frame. The kart was handling great!
Axle perfectly straight
Gears on the clutch and sprocket hub were good. New chain after the first race day heat. laser aligned and good tension adjustment
Motor mount square and flat, bottom of engine block square and flat, no cracks in mount or block
Judging by the oil spot in the shop I think the side case bolts were already missing( dammed lucky on that one)
Ran the kart without seat struts for the first time, and recently added the front bar in the frame. Kart was handling great and not over stuck at all
The chain was at its extreme length limit in case I wanted to add more teeth
Open to suggestions?
