Would like to express a big thank you to the Shasta Kart Club for the great time this weekend. We know that a night race involves more work and expense. The people running the show do it for the love of the sport and people not with any rewards in mind. Thank You
Highlights
My chained stayed on the entire weekend. If you combined the last two race weekends together and averaged them out I would call it about even for me. No problems at all for me.
NFRA claimed the top two qualifying positions against the locals,
We all got to experience another inverted start in the second heat. I finally got the scoring down on that system. It was a mystery to me how I ended up on the pole for the main until it was explained to me again. Willy had a 2nd, and a 1st. I had a 1st and a 3rd. But I out qualified him.
Being handed an adult Slurpee 5 feet from the scale house right after the finish of the main. Blended with salt on the rim. And great arm chair racing with refreshments very late until early the next morning

Well done Rich ! It sounds like you had a successful weekend and a well deserved win.
What did you do to fix the chain flying off issue ?

I wish I could tell you exactly what I fixed. I took the entire backend of the kart apart and cleaned it. Looked for cracks or something broken( found nothing ). Installed a new super secret floating sprocket hub on there, and reassembled the kart. Even did a checklist with Dan on the phone during reassembly. Took a lot of time and care to square up the motor mount. Then used my laser chain align tool and dbl checked square against the engine block. What ever!!! it stayed on
Dan thought I maybe had too much chain on there. But my kart suffers from an appalling lack of adjustment because of frame interference. The idea of having to add or subtract links because of a gear change is a hassle.

Don't you love it when a plan comes together? Regarding the chain, it was all Rich, during the reassembly, his a clear vision as to the end-game produced a positive result. PFM!!!!!
