So Jeff is going to the track Friday night. When is everyone else arriving? I work tomorrow and can come up late Friday or early Saturday. My stuff still needs to be packed.

Still negotiating with the Wife but planning on leaving Sac at about noon. I know Brad said he was going to try and get on the road by then also. So 3:00 PM + - at the track?

I am still trying to get my back muscles working again after our baseball practice. My side is tweaked out big time because of the move to the larger field. I was having to teach the kids how to use their bodies more to throw and over did it with my back.

Confession time ... I completely forgot to give Brian/Cole/Rodney a heads up that the NFRA were coming up. I just shot them an email, so hopefully they will not be surprised to see you !

Rich was able to pull off another win. Brad second. I barely got third place with Jeff breathing down my neck. When I went across the finish line I glanced to my left and saw his bumper.
The starts of the races were the best because we went into turn one still in the starting grid order and palcement. I think the spectators were priobably waiting for us to "CLone" it up. But each time we came out unscathed.
In the main we were so deep into turn one, and nobody wanted to lift, I actually thought it was going to be a really spectacular start, or we were going to go flying.
It was a fun day. We got out early because the gates had to be locked by 5pm for the Reno Airshow.

Scott, nice to hear from you. I admit to checking out Dixon's website to see how you are doing for the season. I still want to race out there. Just need more time & money One thing about the Reno race was that all three races were decided in the first three corners. Who ever got out ahead after turn three stayed there and tried not to make a mistake. I know when I was behind Brad I wouldn't have been able to get by him in any area of the track. I was not as comfortable in kart as I would have liked. Turn 5 once again had me flummoxed. I know I have taken that corner smoother, and faster. It is amazing what being confident and comfortable in the kart can makes such a difference. Turn 9 should be flat out thru the eases but did not quite have the feeling for that one either. Big thanks to Brian from NNKC. He came up and talked to us in the morning, asked us what we wanted, then made sure we got it. ( Our own race ) Everybody from NNKC was the picture of hospitality.

You guys were awesome. I wish more of your guys came up. And not for the reason some people would think (entry fee money). Its about the quality of people you have in your class. If the racing with 4 was as great as it was, it would have been 10x better with another 4 or 5 guys.
I was race director and got to watch all the heats, starts and finishes. Exactly how Rich and everyone described. Nose to tail were the front 2 and nose to tail were the back 2. Brad raced on Rich's bumper the entire day. I was hoping Brad would make a diving attempt there in Turn 1-2. But he kept it clean and didn't risk the "bad pass." Rich was super smooth all day. Never did he give Brad the opportunity to "get in there" and that is what won the race. Heads up driving by a heads up guy.
Ron and Jeff battled all day with Ron eventually coming up in 3rd to hold off Jeff. These 2 are really close all across the board. Kart set up, talent, motor strength, etc. Neither was willing to back down and that is a true testament to your guys in this class /organization.
Since I've been on board in 2008, you guys have been here every year since. Your guys have set the standard for all out of towners at our track. Which is why you'll always be welcome here at our track. I wish we had you guys full time here in Reno. I could just see 15 WF's screaming down the straight going into turn 1. 4 stroke racing in Reno consist of clones. I wish we had this class.
I want to thank you all for coming down. This will most likely be my last year on board. It has been a privilege working with Simon and Brad over the years coordinating our events with you guys. I will pass on all your info to the new President. I'll make sure you guys get our 2015 schedule here in a couple months when I release it.
Hope to see you all in the future. Good luck!!

I was hoping Brad would make a diving attempt there in Turn 1-2. But he kept it clean and didn't risk the "bad pass." Trust me, I thought about it every time through there. However, back in 2009 (queue the harp music) I tried to pull off that move on Randy. We both ended up in the dirt. Lucky for me I was in my WF and just hit the start button and off I went. Randy, however, was in an F200 and he was done. He was nice enough to wave to me every time by...got to the point where I black flagged myself cause I felt so bad. But, the worst part was, as we were packing up, his 5-6 year old daughter came up to me with her big bown eyes and asked "Brad, why did you wreck my daddy". Gawwwwd.
