Yea, plus it's looking pretty good that I HAVE to go to Reno and race, so knowing that ScottS will be there in his F200 obligates me to run F200, as well.
Thus, PaulV, you also HAVE to go Reno because Scott and I will be there with our F200s. It's simply your obligation, and I am confident that you'll make the right decision regarding this matter...

So Paulski - what changed? You weren't planning on running F200 in Reno but now you are. Are you going to test at Shasta or Davis before the 28th? If you and ScottS are positively going to race F200 in Reno, then I will go for sure. I simply cannot justify the trip though if 3 promise and only 2 make it. I will plan to go up early on Saturday morning and get some setup and practice in. I'm also going to try to haul everything up there without my trailer this time. My TAHOE just doesn't have enough grunt to tow my trailer comfortably up to that elevation.

Yes. BradW has helped me to see the light! I have decided to rearrange my priorities and buy tires for my truck next month, thus allowing me to make Reno. I have some stuff on order from Todd that he is going to ship Monday. As soon as I get it, I will get to my track and give the motor a shakedown run. I have to be able to do this next week, however, because we have the 4 cycle/shifter nationals the following week. This way I'll be able to say for sure that it runs correctly. At least it fires up and seems really strong, so I think it will be good.
As far as Davis, I am not planning on going. However, that is only because of my finances, not lack of desire, and considering it IS going to be on father's day, and considering I am a father of a special needs 3 year old, I just may need to get to Davis next weekend because of my special needs (hint to my wiffe who apparently has more cash at the moment than I)! If I do, I will go Saturday morning for testing and spend the night at the track.
But, I am definitely promising that I will be at Reno with the F200, assuming all is well. You, and the 3.2 other people that care will be the first to hear of my shakedown results at Redding!
The only thing I can't promise you is whether or not I can give you some competition, but I'm sure a-gonna-try!! If I can't, I'll focus on keeping the #9 behind me and help JohnV!! JUST KIDDING

By the way, ScottS did reply to my PM, and his answer was 'yes'. So, how can I NOT go?!

It just occurs to me that I will probably need to add 10 pounds of weight for the F200 class... Anyone going to Reno who can loan or sell me a ballast?
Thanks

Sounds like you need to drink about a 12 pack of beer the night before and NOT pee. ;D
I've got some weight I can bring along. If you could shoot me a reminder before hand that would be helpful. I'd hate to forget about it and leave it at home (like I did last week when I forgot to bring a carb to the track for Randy)

Thanks.I'll do that. I wouldn't want to get DQed after I smoke the field... er...
OK, I'll try again... In the unlikely event that I finish in front of any of the F200s, it would be a shame to be DQed... In reality, if I can stay ahead of the WFs, that will be fine....

Actually, I am seriously getting jealous of all ya'll getting to race Davis this Sunday while I hang out and drink beer. So, I am in deep contemplation about going to Davis Saturday morning and getting some practice there, instead. Then, of course, I might as well stay at the track and race the next day... So, don't ban me yet!
