I need help please. After the main at Dixon last weekend, my clutch locked solid and won't spin. I removed it from the crank tonight and the drum is locked solid on the center shaft. Does anyone have a press of some sort that I can borrow to press out the shaft from the drum bearing as well as press in a new bearing into the drum? Thanks,
Paul

Try spraying WD40 throughout the clutch, tap lightly with a hammer around it to to see if it loosens something up. I had a time when I was locking them up when they got hot. After they cooled considerably, or after spraying them down with WD40, they freed up. I'll have to check to see if I still have the portable press in my garage.

Thanks Ron - I tried that last night but to no avail. The shaft is still stuck in the bearing. It needs to be pressed out.
Would anyone have a spare clutch they could loan me for the Atwater race? I'd be happy to pick it up at your location and do all the pre and post race maintenance. Thanks everyone.

Are you sure you didn't just break a spring ? That's the symptom of a broken spring, the whole clutch locks and you can't get the outer drum off.

Simon, you were right, a broken spring was the issue. Got Paul all fixed up, and ready to go!
