You know I'm in Ron. Maybe not as a driver as I wreck too much equipment, but certainly as crew.

.... and man, I feel like the ugly step child with a World Formula given all the love Briggs are showering on the 206 package.

OK, I know a guy that just might take what's written above, personally! Think of it this way, NFRA was the true pioneer, trekking in a way that has others wanting to follow. Truly a blueprint for many to use, and it's based on fun. I can tell ya, the guy that helped to put the 206 program for SWM cites your group regularly, or so I'm told. It's been said that the biggest vote of confidence that you're doing it right is when others want to follow. KUDOS NFRA!

And if we get a crew together we can use the engine that Dan is working on right now, or the one Rich has used for the last couple of races. We can decide which one is better at the time.

It was my impression that the season champ had to supply the motor. I was planning on buying one of those new cheaper WF packages for a second motor anyway. I could buy it, break it in and just wait for the race. I don't think having the absolute fastest motors is the key to any win in the enduro.
It was also brought up that unless you tell Dan to build it for the Enduro his regular motors are not really setup for that kind of race.
Come on Simon, what happened to the two kart NFRA race team.

A few changes this year : - the official tire for the enduro is Bridgstone. - a new Dan rule which means you have to use a regular fuel can.
Two kart NFRA team is an awesome idea, but I think Jeff is scared.

d**n....Now I've got to read ALL the rules, but there's a bunch of grey in the words "regular fuel can". Let's have some fun!
Ron- I've got the short block done on your motor- not assembling the head until you're ready for it (saves springs) Simon- no offense taken, all in fun Rich- So right, they are made differently
BTW, we had regular in our fuel can at the last race, so we'll do it again!

It would not be an enduro without a Ron motor. Do we dare risk a 3rd enduro on the same motor ? If we use the engine that Dan is working on now it would be the blueprinted one, not the one we used at the last two enduros. Rich has my engine that was used at the last two enduros. You all know me, run whatever you need if it breaks or blows, oh well. I don't care what engine is used. I like the idea of two NFRA teams. Team members? Rich, Ron, Simon, Jeff, Brad, Paul, Scott. Anyone one else want to run? What two karts would we use? Mine is tweaked out and nobody would be able to drive it anyway. We would need to think new strategy for pitting and some math for how much time to stay in the seat. We now know how many laps can be done on a complete tank. However, I don't recommend that we (I) do that again. I will start pulling all my numbers together, and will not disclose them on this website.

Ron, you're correct. Much like a race-horse is built differently when compared to a plow-horse, so are the motors.

But the piston still only goes up and down. Except for my F200 that went a little sideways and then boom.

We can build it any way you want, but the guarantee is 10 minutes or 10 laps, whichever comes first. We've built National motors to last around 100 laps, then needing a complete rebuild. The downside, 2 or 3 of those prototypes had to be sacrificed to actually understand what was needed to make it to 100 laps!
Love this stuff, but there is a bunch of trial & error. Guessing the family would have starved if I chose to become a cardiac surgeon.
