We can build it any way you want, but the guarantee is 10 minutes or 10 laps, whichever comes first. We've built National motors to last around 100 laps, then needing a complete rebuild. The downside, 2 or 3 of those prototypes had to be sacrificed to actually understand what was needed to make it to 100 laps! Love this stuff, but there is a bunch of trial & error. Guessing the family would have starved if I chose to become a cardiac surgeon. With me driving the guarantee should be out of the box, or on the kart, guarantee is expired when the first of those two events happens. You should see me build an engine. When I get done I put the extra parts in my toolbox just in case I need them on raceday. Then on raceday it is, so far, so good. Keep those fingers crossed. Then I come off the track saying, "hey, something does not sound right, do I need this part on the engine?" We all laugh, then I quietly install the part. Shhhhhhhh!!!! If you keep it guiet no kangaroo court charges will be filed.

I wouldn't mind participating. My old Emmick is a bit of a beater but I don't mind bringing my motor as a backup (and it's a Dan-built from last years enduro...right Dan?) Also, I have a freshened up clutch too. Curious, how many sets of tires would we need to buy? And it kinda sucks that we have to use Bridgys. Won't have much use for them after the race.

And it kinda sucks that we have to use Bridgys. Won't have much use for them after the race. Won't have much use for them during the race. I think they will go away quick. Maybe they want to make sure people change tires. Paul, I have not looked at the rules, but the last races you get two sets of tires for race day that are marked. You can also have rain tires in your possession just in case it rains.

Early bird registration rate runs out this week, so I have entered one NFRA team. (Ron, Rich I assume you are good to drive ?) We'll figure out other details like 3rd driver, who's kart to use, who's motor etc at a later date.
Qualifying rules just posted. A bit different to previous years !
2015 Syd White Enduro Qualifying Procedure
1. No Karts will have the same kart number.
2. Teams will pea-pick their qualifying order at registration shack.
3. Kart / Driver will need to make minimum class weight at end of qualifying run.
4. Teams will move kart and their qualifying driver to the head of pit lane and their team to the designated pit box as their qualifying turn is approaching. *Teams must race on the tires they qualify on. Please bring maximum of two sets of tires to scales at end of your qualifying run to be marked.
5. Qualifying will start with Kart in the penalty box - drivers may warm their engine.
6. At the green flag driver will leave the penalty box to start the run. Timing will start on the back scoring loop the first time the kart crosses it. Karts may not reverse direction on track.
7. After ¾ of the first lap drivers will pit. Pit lane speed must be below 18 MPH. Pit lane speed violations are: 18 to 20.9 MPH = 5 sec penalty and 21 + MPH = 15 sec penalty.
8. Driver will drive kart down pit lane to designated pit box. Engine must be off and kart at a stop before driver leaves the kart seat.
9. A maximum of 4 crew members, which could include driver(s), will remove all four wheels and switch them to the opposite side of the kart.
10. After the wheel switch the kart will be put on the ground. The driver needs to be in the Kart before the engine is started.
11. Once the engine is started, the driver will proceed slowly down pit lane (less than 18MPH). Turn left onto track and get to the scoring loop on the back straight as quickly as possible. Kart must stay on designated track layout at all times.
12. Driver will leave the track at the end of the back straight ( take scale exit ) after the checkered flag and go directly to the scale. Only the driver & one crew are allowed in the scale/tech area. All race tires will be marked at this time.
*** Penalties for Qualifying only: 1. Speeding in pit lane: 18-20 MPH = +5 seconds. More than 20 MPH = +15 sec 2. Engine on / kart moving with no one in kart = +10 sec 3. More than 4 pit crew in pit box = + 10 sec *** Official Qualifying results will be posted at the scoring shack within 30 min of the end of qualifying
