I wasn't sure there is enough space under the baffle and the side cover was already off. Plus with the stock CA exhaust it's pretty tight around the rocker cover.
I thought about adding a fuel filter.

From all I have read on Bob's 4 Cycle, those stock exhausts gotta go if you want the motor to work right...

You have to be extremely careful about what you read on Bob's 4cycle. Don't get me wrong, I love the place and have made many many friends there. However the site is mostly inhabited by oval racers who only need a powerband 1000 RPM wide, and they are in those layback seats and 42 inch wide chassis.
The stock clone muffler burns the driver in those layback seats. I have seen claims that the Briggs muffler is good for 1/8 of a horsepower on a computerized dyno. That would be great if we were dyno racing.

Very true, Brad. If I had a grain of salt for everything I have read, I would have high blood pressure!
Still, my guess is uncorking it with a different exhaust would be an improvement...

Most of the guys on bobs are "dirt oval racers"!! as an "asphalt oval racers" I have to say, if your good you only need 500 rpm power band. LOL on my dyno, there is a little over 1hp difference from the stock muffler to a 1" pipe 14" long . I have not tried any pipes longer then that. I have done some engines for you guys that turn right too, and they say bigger is better.
