I am scheduled to be there. Not sure if I will make it Saturday (possible climbing at Auburn Quarry). I still have to work on the front end, the back end, and the other parts in the middle, including an engine change.

It was a fun beautiful day on Sunday. Saturday night, not so much.
I am coming back up to speed. Clutch fixed, front end still not great, but is able to be raced at speed (with the ability to turn). Next project, changing axle back to my competitive one.

Here's my report. I drove up Saturday night and was met by a torrential downpour. Instead of going to the track I went to a motel and had to keep all of my toys dry in the back of my truck. I didn't do much other than have dinner at the motel and watch TV. Usually I go out, but the weather sucked. I asked for a 0645 walkup call and received it PROMPTLY at 0545. FYI I am NOT a morning person. I tried to go back to sleep and a second walk up call came at 0550. d**n it, I guess I'm up. Weather was perfect. I got ready and went to the store for munchies, Gatorade and some waters. I went throught the drive-thru at McD and got a bacon egg and cheese biscuit, harsh brown and coffee. The young lady working there was clearly a morning person and was in a really good mood. I was still not awake. I got to the track early, unloaded, and was ready to race, except I was still also ready for a nap. I didn't win. Although I did not win, it was an extremely successful day. My kart handled great because I changed my front wheels. The new wheels allowed a wider front track width, that also let me widen the rear. I also went through my clutches and found my last clutch was destroyed (I guess that's why I had no bottom end). Is that the report you were looking for?

Awesome report, complete w/ an advertisement for Micky D's place!! Any time one can better understand how to make something work better, it's always a success. What's up w/ those clutches?

What's up w/ those clutches? Remember the discussions we were having about the non-original equipment that we were getting in packaging that we believed was for WF? Weeelllll, when I took my clutch apart I realized that the hub, although it had came with WF packaging, was a non-WF part. When I compared it with my next , pre-checked items, I realized it was the wrong hub. Good thing my boys were not in my garage because I had some choice words coming out of my mouth. I then had to sit down with the caliper measuring parts to make sure I put them together properly. The problem you run into when you have the WF parts and the non-WF parts is some of the working parts are not interchangeable. The hub, lock rings, and the bearings are slightly different. They are so close that you cannot see the difference, but it is there. If it does not go together with the non-WF parts or the WF parts, exclusively to each other (not interchanged), it does not work properly. At PC when I got on the throttle, Rich just pulled away as I could not even come up to speed. At Reno he did not simply pull away, until I messed up the next corner. But that is a different problem unrelated to the clutch (has something to do with my eyes, feet, and brain). I'll figure it out. Interestingly, at the Reno race, Rich was running one hub, and Simon was running a different one.
