If you are competing for KPX championship points, the KPX guys have just declared a spec fuel for the Dixon race. You must run Chevron 91 octane purchased from any of these Chevron locations : 2599 N. 1st Street Dixon 300 Hwy 12, Rio Vista 1200 Anderson Drive, Suisun City I've heard the gas from Suisun City gives you three tenths a lap. If you are just running for NFRA points the usual IKF rules apply.

Yup, I asked for confirmation and all KPX classes must use the spec fuel. I'm ok with that but would have liked to have know that before I started all the test and tune I've been doing with the wrong fuel.
..... NOT ! (the kart is still in the trailer after Reno).

Again being overbearing on what to run. But when you put money on it that is what happens.
I dumped all of my wrong fuel into my truck. I am going to buy some at all of the locations and test tomorrow and Sunday for variants of the fuels.
Man, that actually sounded good. Boys and I are off to a bouldering competition in Berkeley tonight , and then rock climbing in Tiburon tomorrow. I have not even bought tires. I also have not taken the rim off my kart with the broken lug nut. Ahh, I have plenty of time.

I am trying to find the KPX rules and what you can win. I need to know if it is worth getting Bridgestones. I have 2 sets of fronts with minimal use and can get by on those. However I have to buy two new rims and hubs for the rear. I cannot get the broken lug it off the hub. They are really old and need replacing anyway.
Lastly I am debating about racing this race. Busy day and prepping for vacation.

I say just F@!$% em all. We just show up with Hoosiers and let them decide Come on Ron. This is your favorite kinda race. Just show up late Sat. Throw everything out of the truck. Throw it all back in in the middle of the night and drive home

Throw it all back in in the middle of the night and drive home I am of that mindset. I may have to miss Davis KPX so it would make no difference to me because I would not get KPX points. Also to buy a set of tires each time for KPX would be more costly than what you can get. I bet they would not even look at the tires. How many WF's do they plan on having anyway?

I know the KPX series tech guy well, he lives in Redding. Call him w/ ANY questions @ 530-221-4561 Are you sure you know him that well to be giving out his phone number? I barely know myself and never give out my own number. Maybe because I never have my phone. Oh, yeah, where is my phone? I had it in Berkeley, but not in Tiburon or SF. D**n, lost it again. Ssshhh!!!! Tech is watching us. My kart will be squared away and completely compliant with all racing and safety requirements. I promise not to lose too many parts while on the track.

It sounds like only 3 of us from NFRA are considering racing, so I'm easy. I'm pretty sure Mr. Bundy said he doesn't like racing at night.

Simon are you running Bridgestone tires? Rich, you said youa re running Bridgestone tires, right. Assuming they put us all together, theoretically I can be near the front, but then put to the back each time with Hoosiers. If I don't find a way to take the rim off I have a problem. I did not work on it last night. I went bouldering for 2.5 hours and I am sore beyond belief right now. Tonight I will work on it.

Actually I am showing up with the Hoosiers on the Kart. I do have a two race old set of Bridgestones that I could throw on if I find it is worth it. At this point I am not really worried about it. Just want to race. I believe we raced together with the fast 206 guys at Dixon before. We still beat them then at 390# and old MGs

Ron, you are a constant source of entertainment! Gotta say, if all the WF racers can agree on a tire, that's easy too. Otherwise, they'll have to run what's posted. See ya Saturday, and i'm bringing Don Stewart along to assist with fuel & other techable points....be legal, or the UCD dude will pinch ya!

Ohh man .... by head hurts. I was intending buying BS to be compliant with the KPX rules. Without knowing if any other WFs are showing up it's hard to know what to do. I'll give Facebook a poke and see if I can shake any other WFs from the trees.
I just spoke to Jeff and he's not up to travelling to race yet and Rich and Willy are not coming down.

I am just hoping tech does not look too close at my kart, the rims, frame, nuts, bodywork, weights, cables, super charger, or especially the driver. Any one, or all of them can be warped, broken, not necessarily attached, or may even be severely out of balance. The super charger, however, always works and is fine tuned.
If someone tries to pinch me I will sue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
