Here is a mail that I received about the upcoming race: Gold Rush Racers- Gold Rush Race#1 at Prairie City is getting close, so we wanted to let you all know what the track schedule is for practice leading up to the race. We know many of you drive a long way and wouldn't want you to get to the track and have it closed. We will be running the grand prix track configuration. You can access a track map at www.pckartclub.com by clicking the track layouts icon. Listed below is the track schedule for the rest of the month of July leading up to Club Race #7/ Gold Rush Series Race #1 on August 2nd. July 9th -12th -- open practice 9:30a.m. - 4:30p.m. July 16th- 19th -- The track will be closed that week for a 4-day special event.( We're gonna go get a little R&R/ vacation during that week and rest up for the race) July 23rd- 26th -- open practice 9:30a.m. - 4:30p.m. July 30th- Aug 1st -- open practice 9:30a.m. - 4:30p.m. August 2nd-- Club Race #7/ Gold Rush Series Race#1 We're really looking forward to the new series and are especially happy and excited about the cash awards that will be given out at the last race in Dixon. Jessie and Melanie are working on some really cool championship trophies for the series winners and we're planning to have some unique trophies at each event. Remember that the cash awards are based on your participation in all four races and not on your finishing position. Some kart shops are also donating prizes to be raffled off with the cash. The goal of the series is to have a good time and to give something back to the racers who run the series. We look forward to seeing all of you at the race or before. I was hoping for the Esses because I've never driven it. Oh well at least I am familiar with the layout. Now I can focus on setting up my kart.

As of this date & wishing I could change it. We will be out of town this weekend and not able to make the Pre Gold Rush test session at PC on 7-25-09. But the good news is that we will be at the August 2nd-- Club Race #7/ Gold Rush Series Race#1 ready to race. See you guys there.
