Guy's I had a blast today I want to thank everyone for the hospitality and help that everyone gave to myself and Pat. Thank You Brad for the loaner sprocket, it made a big differance in the turns. I also want to thank everyone that passed me and lapped me today especially the clones , It made me realize how S***y of a driver I really am. . Anyway I had a great time and I am looking forward to seeing you guys at Athinger. Dean

Glad you had a fun time Dean. I hope Pat did too. Oh, by the way, tell Pat that he left before he could pick up his trophy (actually a very cool GR plaque). How cool is that, picking up a throphy first time out! F200-We thought we'd have 6 F200s out there this weekend but only 4 were able to make it. As you know Ron messed up his back (how's it doing ron?) and Dave wasn't racing anything this weekend. Scott was on th pole for the heat and main. Paul was running well all day but threw a chain in the main. Puddles had a quick spin in the main and had to pick his way back through the field but ran out of time. Randy's kart has run great the last two times out and picked up a second place finish. Scott came away with the early lead in GR series for F200 with the first place finish. WF-2 new drivers, Dean and Pat joined us in the WF class giving us 4 at the beginning of the day. Unfotunately Luis had to leave before getting in a lap. His wife who is expecting, started to feel ill (mostly likely due to those 2-smokers) and they headed for home. For their first race Dean and Pat did really well and we look forward to racing with you guys. BSC-Biggest 4 cycle class out there with 7 entries. Looked like there was some good battling out going on the class. Karl pulled out the win with John and Simon in pursuit. It was a fantasic day out at the track. Weather definitely cooperated with mild temps and a nice breeze. Doesn't get any better than that at PC in August. No major incidents that I'm aware of. I think Jason got jobbed in the heat race when he got black flagged for reasons unknown. I think his kart stopped running but he got it started right back up on the warm up lap. Stange thing is, Mike kicked a chaing in the warm up for the main and went a lap down while he was putting his chain back on, during the race, all the while standing in his seat because he knew if he stepped out of his kart he'd be done. Gotta give ya a WAY TO GO there Mike. Last but not least, I want to thank you guys for what you did after the first practice. During practice I caught up to the BSCs in turn 6 (hairpin going down to the SP). Duffy, and I can't remember who, sort of got tangled up and I tried to exit stage left and head down the short chute. Unfortunately I couldn't quite clear Duffy with my right rear. BINK! Couple bounces up and down in my seat and I knew I was done. As I was waiting for Quadzilla to pick my up I'm thinking OK, no way I can make qualifying or mostly likely the heat but I can run home and get my tweaked axle and at least make the main. Wheel my kart back to my pit and Duffy and John come up and ask what I needed. I told them I was going to run home and pick up an axle and swap it out when I got back. Shoot home and back (maybe 4 miles each way) and damned if the rear end isn't disassembled and ready for the replacement axle. WoooHOOOO I'm thinking. 10-15 minutes later and I'm ready for qualifying. Duffy told me it was a group effort where everyone picked something (even a little kart cleaning!) to work on and it was out lickity split. I can't say how much I appreciate the help. Thanks guys.

Dave said he didn't have the cash to race. Turns out John dislocated his knee when he got out of his kart way back when we ran the 25 lap main at Davis. I guess it has been killing him every since but he was just strapping a brace to it and soldiered on. Hopefully, he'll be back in action once his knee feels better.
I think the racing finished up about 5-5:30. Didn't get out of there will 7 or so after having a couple of beers and the awards presentation. Not too bad considering there were a number of red flag incidents.

I would like to send a thanks too Brad H. for letting me use his carb for the weekend. I've not been racing for most of the season and I had forgotten how much fun I was missing. After, getting on the brakes too hard and spinning in turn #5 of the first lap of the main, at that point I was wundering " what Kind of mess have I gotten into here" trying to work through a pack of 7 BSC drivers and 2 new WF guys. The thought had crossed my mind to just pull in the pits, and call it a day.... But, and hasitated for moment never racing with these guys before, dicided to go for it.....You guys were great, I didn't make contact with anyone and had a blast working through grid and I think I got back up too 4th place by the end of the race? All-in-all, with everything else going on, on the track that day we had a good race. Good Job guys........

As you know Ron messed up his back (how's it doing ron?) On Goldrush morning at 2:00 A.M., I was in the emergency room in the fetal position, unable to stand, sit, or move. I was given a shot and numerous other medications. I am slowly starting to walk this morning. I am so bummed at having to miss this race.

Ron, I spent two weeks on the floor, unable to stand. I really sympathize.

Ron, so what's the prognosis?
Dean, at some point all the laptimes will be posted on mylaps.com (http://mylaps.com/results/showevents.jsp?sport=1). Gary is usually pretty quick about getting them posted but they aren't up there yet.

I must say that the 1st of the Gold Rush Race was so much fun and I really look forward to the next three races hoping everyone who made the P.C. Race on Sunday will make the three other races. Talking about fun. I pushed myself as far as I could go and yesterday I was paying for it. My new red kart did everything as I wanted, now its just the driver behind the wheel and he to will be getting better. Win or not ;DI had a great time with everyone and we will be at the next 3 races coming up in the Gold Rush Race. If your a 4 cycle guy and read this. get together and meet us out there next time for some fun and if you have a clone ready to go. Jump into this mix and do some racing. Everyone smiles at the end of the day. Thanks Guys I had a great. See you at the next one. Duffy
