Wow, what weekend! We didn’t get the turnout we expected but I think everyone had a blast at the A-water track. Reno was my favorite track but I think A-water may have taken over as my top spot. I had heard about that sweeper but holy cow! Between that, the long straight (reminded me of RRing with drafting coming into play) and then the more technical SSes, I think it is just about my perfect track.
While Saturday was kind of toasty with partial cloud cover and elevated humidity, Sunday was downright pleasant for the most part. Who would of thought that would be the case in August in A-water. LOL
Anyone interested in checking out the race video you can take a look here vimeo.com/6243030 (should be available by 12:30am on 8-24-09). Couple of comments. Scott ended up winning the F200 class but he sure made it interesting. I didn’t catch him losing it in the SSes but I sure caught him come storming back charging to the front.
Jason said some time ago, just wait till there were a bunch of BSCs running in a pack. Getting around them wouldn’t be quite as easy as one at a time. You sure weren’t kidding Jason. At one point I came out of the sweeper and wouldn’t you know it I came up on a pack of 4 BSCs just as we were all going into the SSes. As we are coming up to the left dog leg on the straight (that doesn’t make sense does it? Lol) what do I see? BSCs going 3 wide! I’m thinking, hmmmm where am I supposed to go? LMAO!
One last point. When we get back to the scales I looked back to see if Mike made it back with us after his day from hell in thrown-yer-chain land. Yep, he is there! WoooHoooo! Now, why I inexplicably yell JOHN! I have no idea. Oh course I MEANT MIKE! LOL Maybe it is the same reason I thanked Mike after John took the initiative to headup the project to swap out my axle at the last race? Is there such thing as brothers-name dyslexia?
Oh, one more last point. For you guys that weren’t able to make it, we missed you out there and I hope we see you out at the track soon.
