We have 3 engines now running the new HD rockers for the YF200 R1, the valve adjustment is so much more postive and consistent and once the lash was set it didn't change all weekend. And we now have added confidence in the valve train.
Big improvement, thanks Yamaha and Burris for the update it is a great addition to a fantastic engine.

Check out this link Scott. test.burrisracing.com/support/forum/Topic40-6-1.aspxI really doubt (although, what do I know) that these rockers will fix the crank breakage problems we've had for years. The funny thing is, the rockers that originally came with these motors were crap but the ones that replaced the originals (going back a couple of years now) have been pretty good. In fact, once the originals were replaced I can't remember anyone breaking a rocker since. Now, if WOULD be helpful is to figure out and address the issue of cranks breaking. Oh wait, there is no issue...

I have a motor with the gen2 rockers that I put 17 races on without the lash changing even .001". I guess there are advantages to being the slow guy.

You have to stress the parts to move up in the pack. Unfortunately stressing the parts lead to breaking the parts.
I remember Paulski stuck a pushrod through his rocker arm. Paulski, were your rocker arms the old style or the new HD?

Well, I have the Kohler, and they are stock, old style ones... That was my on doing, however, as I forgot to set my lash from th previous race and practice day...

We had some rocker issues with the one of 3 stampings, the rockers with the sharp point on the pushrod dimple. Working with Burris those have been flushed from the system. I tell my customers that the new HD rockers will not provide more power and are not a must have. But they do add to the valve train durability in my opinion.

Mitch, I would agree with your assesment of durability, I know that myself and a couple others out here with f200,s are skirting 8800-9000 R's on a regular basis this season..., with out the new HD rockers. But I've accually learned a few things ( I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, Brad ), after racing the yamaha for three seasons sprint & roadrace found after rebuilding my motor several times. Friction is the enemy ( without going into too much detail ) anything that can reduce that will only improve engine longevity. Thanks for posting the new rockers it looks like something I am going use.
