Karlznet: Excellent points. I had forgotten of the spirit and intent of the Clones, but wanted to show our appreciation for what they have accomplished in such a short time. Currently undecided on how to award, but a raffle may be the safest way, in order to reward the drivers, and maintain the spirt and intent. Keep letting me know your thoughts.
Simon: For some their favorite charity might be themselves.
So far I am getting more "against" rather than "for". Maybe I should just drop it.

Well I guess I'll toss in my 2 cents on the subject. IMHO I feel that Clones Racing for Money goes against the "Spirit and Intent" of the Box Stock Project and nothing good can come from it...period. Now on the other hand if you were to take donations, cash, gift certificates, sur-prizes, parts etc. and have a raffle or pea pick for a clone race then that's a different story, I would not be opposed to something along those lines. Just my opinion.......~ Karl Cleeton I'm happy to hear that a money race for the clones is on the down hill slide. Not that I don't like money, Heck we can't live without it. But I don't care to mix money with my racing, I like the ideal of racing for fun. Its nice to see what other think about this, Let's keep it clean and fun. It seems as soon as money comes into play things always go bad. Look what it had done to the other sports.. Duffy

That's more against. I was only trying to help out. Thus the clone prizes are off the table now. Just come and race.

ron90, I think your doing a great thing by trying to reward people,I also think Duffy has a good point Money is the route of all evil , maybe just prizes like club shirts, hats, tires , or entry fee pass for a race might be good. I do some shooting and I have been to a couple of clubs where they do things like meat shoots, who ever wins a particular round of shooting gets to go to a cooler and pick out a prize which in that case happened to be beef or chicken. I am not saying it should be meat but just an idea of something you could do like maybe quickest qualifing or best improved lap times or something in that nature. Just thinking out loud.. Dean

Dean, I like your way of thinking, maybe a prize for the last place like that guy Cy-clone who races all the races but never wins. But the truth is he is a winner each and everytime he hits that track. I like the ideal of having a club shirts, hats, tires , or entry fee pass for a race , yep I like this allot. keeps guys like me in the loop and having fun . See you in Dixon this weekend. Duffy
