Ron, I understand the Oct 18 race will run CW direction. I've never run in that direction and would like to practice before the race weekend. When will the track be open for CW practice?

It is way more fun clockwise I think, but taking the hairpin out might change that opinion. The hill is way less bumpy feeling because you are going slower on the bumpy section. Yes, I realize none of that answers what you asked

Every weekend you can practice. Steve is usually there early in the morning. Also the paintball place opens the street gate in the morning. If for some reason the track gate is not open you can either get someone at the track (who probably locked it behind them) to open it, or you can go down the back straight and follow the sign to the track by Turn Three.
There is a drop box for fees if Steve is not there.
I am going to try and get out to the track to see how my back is doing. I am going to try and race this race. But now I am probably jinxing myself.

Regarding track direction and practice, I usually try and avoid greasy foods, and enjoy rock music.
See, Brad42, I've been taking notes!

I just got off the phone and cleared it with the track President that the barriers are being moved to run backward with no hairpin and the top of the track at turn three. He also confirmed that it will be back wards. He also said he was going to be at the track on Saturday.
It will be posted to the Blue Max website, so if necessary you can even print that out and take to the track.
