Hello everyone, I made the move from HPV-2 and TAG senior to clone today. I bought the motor today from arc racing and was wondering if there are any tips/thing i should be careful with when installing the motor to the chassis. Also, i was wondering the ballpark gearing for Blue Max (i got a 15 tooth driver). Looking forward to racing you guys soon ;D. Thanks, Sean

Welcome Sean and congratulations on moving up to the Clone Class. ;D All kidding aside, start with a 60t and you'll be in the ballpark. ~Karl

Haha, thanks for the responses, is anyone going to be at the next blue max race? i know is not part of the series, but they are very interested in having the clones come and race there. So far i believe we have three comming but would love to have more for my first race in clone.

I will be there. Missed the first club race because Kart wasn't completed and I had Zero seat team. In fact will be at the track if we get some dry days.

Best price for both is Turk Brothers Racing www.tbrwins.comI almost always have a spare chain (new in the box) and always have a bunch of gears.

Iv'e found buying some of the single stuff it is cheaper to buy local. By the time I pay shipping it may be a couple of bucks cheaper off the kart trailer at the track. I've been using N-R RACING.com. They sell the ARC motor for the same price but only charge $18.00 shipping and I seem to get the stuff a couple days quicker.

Unfortunately nobody local carries the #35 stuff with any regularity. Someone will start, then give up in a few months leaving all of us in a lurch on race day. So I have started carrying my own spares so that I am self sufficient on race day, and am willing to share when needed. But even I didn't make too many races last year. NR Racing is a good bunch of guys, especially for Honda/clone stuff. But for #35 chain (RLV Gold) and sprockets Turk Bros. can't be beat. I bet you save $2.00 even with shipping from anyone else.

I'll check those websites out. Meanwhile, the March 14th race at blue max should be a good one as we may have 5+ clones out there. Plus, at the meeting last night, it looks as if a few raffles will take place if you enter the race. I'm really looking forward to take off the TAG and put on the clone! It should be here by next thursday. See you all at the racetrack!
