I've confirmed with Rick/Jessie that pit spots can be reserved as of Friday (more specifically, that you don't need to have a trailer to snag a spot). Still waiting for confirmation that spots can be reserved for other people like PC allows. Assuming that we can do that I'm thinking about heading down there tomorrow and reserving some spots. How many do we need?
The list of NFRA racers that I THINK are racing are:
Brad #42 Paul V Puddles Ron John Luis Brad
Anyone else looking to make the race? Emmick will also be racing with us but I'm sure they are already set.
So at this point it looks like we should have at least 8, maybe 9 if Scott S makes it.

I am planning on racing but don't know right now. An hour ago I slammed a tree branch into my hand. I am contemplating going to the doctor and getting stitches. You don't have to reserve for me.

I can't make it Friday, but I will be there Sat. morning. Please reserve me a spot to pull my trailer into.
thanks Brad

Scratch me off that list, I have had a bit of my personal life get in the way of racing this one. This will be the first race I have missed in over a year, so I don't wanna hear any smack about it!

Just got back from ER. Mulitiple stitches on palm of hand. No racing this weekend, or the following two weekends. I was so looking forward to this weekend.

So let me get this straight...
You smash your hand bad enough to need multiple stitches. You wait an hour, go to the computer to type us a message saying your hand hurts real bad so you might not race. THEN you go to the ER?
I am scratching my head here.....

What is so hard to understand Brad? Obviously Ron subscribes to the Monty Python school of medical evaluation...IE, "oiy, it's just a flesh wound". I suspect that Ron spent that hour trying to convince himself it wasn't all that bad. Then, after the Mrs. started getting irritated that he was bleeding all over the couch he figured he'd better get it looked at. Of course, this didn't occur until he finished science class with his boys where he was showing then how tendons and ligaments work in the hand since they were probably visible. ;D And no Brad, I won't give you any smack for not making the race. Especially after you made the Dixon crossover last year even though you were in terrible shape. For those of you that weren't around last year Brad made it to the race last year even though he clearly wasn't all there. It wasn't that obvious that day, but he was so messed up that he didn't even remember racing. In fact, he didn't even remember that after taking off his driving suit he forgot to put his pants back on and was running around in the pitts in his underwear. One of the scarier mental pictures I've ever retained from a race day.

I have pictures and points to prove I was at the race, but no pictures of me in my skivvies fighting off the no-see-ums.

Well, if I could give you the picture in my brain I would. ;D
So no chance at all you'll make the race? I'm heading down to Dixon in about a half hour to get some spots.

It took me 4 hours from the injury, to deciding to go to the ER. After getting hurt I changed the oil, adjusted the lash, changed the gear, and adjusted the seat on the F200. I then started putting my KT back together since I just picked up the newly rebuild engine yesterday (30 minutes before injury).
The duct tape and bandaids weren't good enough to stop the bleeding. I kept getting blood all over the place. I then had to go help my mom do some chores around her house and she (like my wife) told me to go to the doctor. I finally went.
I'm stubborn and want to race. I am still hopeful that the injury will set enough so I can race. I will prepare to go but the ultimate decision will be made on the morning of the race at about 6:00 a.m.
