So I have a larger tank I want to put on my kart but it has 3 attachments at the top instead of the 2 I have now (1 for the fuel line to the motor and 1 for the overflow). What is the 3rd connection for and what should I do with it? Thanks! ;D Terry

It's usually used for a pump around, or constant flow of fuel from the tank to the carb back to the tank. Just cap it off with a piece of hose with a bolt in it. ~Karl

Thanks karl! So attach a piece of tubing to the port and then place a bolt in the end of the tubing with a ziptie or something?
Also the tank is used. The tubing inside the tank seems stiff. Should I replace that with some new fuel tubing or does that matter? can I use the same tubing I use for the line to the motor?
Thanks!

You absolutely want to replace that line in the tank. You don't want to have happen to you what happened to me a few years ago in the main event at Dixon. On the formation lap coming to the green, while in the bowl turn, my motor just kind of went bluuuuuuuu. I'm thinking WTF? Of course I was done for the race. Upon further investigation in the pit I discovered that cause of my troubles. The fuel line in the tank had become so hard and brittle it just cracked apart. No suction, no go. (Lucky for me the KC wasn't in place at the time since that would have resulted in a Minor GVI I'm sure LOL) I didn't know just how tough gas can be on the fuel lines, expecially in the tank itself where the line is in contact with gas on both the outside and inside. I've since switched away from standard fuel lines to tygo (if I'm remembering the name right). That stuff lasts a LONG time. If you don't have any of that I always carry some extra line in one of my crates and you are welcome grab some.

Terry, you can pick up Tygon fuel hose from John of KLS racing for a doller a foot. John is almost always at every race we go to. He's the G.P. kart importer. The fuel hose we use is 1/4" ID ~scoots

You absolutely want to replace that line in the tank. I found out the hard way at PC about changing the fuel tank lines. I kept bogging out at hard left turns. I was thinking I had some adjustment issues and received help diagnosing it. Nobody found the problem at the track. Day was done. At home, pulling everything apart I found a cracked line where it would suck air if the fuel was a little low (like toward the end of a race when adjusting gas for weight - hint hint), and the cornering caused the fuel to push to one side. After that I changed to the small fuel cells to (1) know the level, and (2) they are cheap to simply replace. Did not have a problem with fuel after that. Oh except (1) one time when I forgot to put gas in the tank and ran out during a race, and (2) dumped the old Kid Kart fuel from Davis into my 110 racing fuel and got myself DQed, and (3) put gas in my tank and forgot the cap and got fuel all over my lap. On second thought I apparantly always have problems with fuel.

Sup Ron? So are you coming out to play with us this weekend? Not only has it been ages since you rolled your F200 out of the garage but given your post I'm thinking the KC could use some ahhhhhhhh donations? LOL Running out of gas....that's classic man!
