After driving my Clone (a Birel) for the first time this past Friday at Blue Max, I was quite pleased with the handling.
But, it seems to need a large amount of force to turn the steering wheel in the turns. This is not so noticeable in the high speed turns as there is relatively little turning required.
On a kart stand, almost no effort is required.
In the slower turns, the effort is actually pretty high.
Is this normal? Or, do I maybe have a problem with suspension adjustments?
Thanks, Mark

I don't mean to be glib, but I am willing to bet it is because you are going too slow. Any clues as to what kind of lap times you were seeing? Your first couple times out there you really need one of us as a mentor/coach to get you going. Don't be afraid to ask, some will use any excuse to go to the track.
There really is only one slow combination at Davis, that little right/left combo between the hill and the back straight. You'd be amazed how quick you can go through there once you come up to speed.

I have only driven one Birel and I found it needed very little steering input indeed, but when you got to a tight turn it took a bit of work to turn the steering wheel.
