I am going down to L.A. this weekend to pick up a world formula! I was wondering what to look for when i'm there. The motor seems to be a good one as it won a west coast national. Are there any specific places to look. Also, the guy has three of them so if any of you would like me to pick one up, write to me, he is selling them for 800 each.

Right, on, Sean! The guy selling these motors doesn't happen to be Terry Nash by chance is he? If so we were talking about three motors being offered by him at the first Dixon GR. I thought $800 seemed high because you can get a new one for around $1000. Later we asked Terry Ives what he thought about the price and he felt that would be a pretty good deal if the motors had been freshened up. If TI thinks that is a good deal I'd go with his opinion. Although there is always something to be said for buying something new if for no other reason than to know for sure how well its been taken care of. That's all really just personal preference. Anyway, back to Terry Nash. My first WF came from him and I have nothing but good things to say about him. If he has gone through those motors they should be top notch. If he is the one selling them, and you end up buying one, tell him Brad said hi. Hope this helps.

Make sure it has all the bits for the electric start. Lots of people save weight and don't install it, but it's not a cheap retro fit if you don't have all the parts.
Ask what angle motor mount the carb float height was set for if it doesn't come with the mount.
Were these motors used for sprint racing or ovals ? Might make a difference on how the clutch is set up. It's all changeable, but obviously better if you have what you want to start with. My eBay motor came with a 16 tooth driver, which would not work with my chassis so I had to pay for another driver. Nothing hugely expensive, but it all adds up.

That is his cell phone. The other number was for his shop which he recently moved to his new location.
