An optimistic 340lbs.

Interesting. I think IKF WF medium is 365#, and on my chassis, that would put me in at about 365#, which is cool to not add lead regardless of WF weight limit. I weigh 175#, so I guess a guy 150# could still make weight, if it is set at 340#. That's pretty light...

LOL, yes, optimistic indeed. Here was the thought process. John comes across the scales at about 350 soaking wet. I come in around 365-375 depending on the day. I figured I need to lose a few pounds anyway and thought I could get down to around 350 as well. That plan was going well during January when I manged to lose about 10lbs. I have since gone back on my pizza and beer diet and am back up to the 375+ range again (although I DID install my battery which of course adds weight).
Giving up 20-30 pounds to a newbie only sounded fair at the outset. However, considering John is only a 10th off my pace (at Davis at least) I say F-that on the 340 weight! LOL Not for this season since I've already made my bed but for next year.
We (John and I) also thought that by having a lower weight we'd be able to better mix it up with the F200s.
The problem is, as Scottie pointed out at the time is that 340 is a really low weight for most guys likely to come into the class-read old fat guys like ourselves. Luis is a good case in point. He is neither old OR fat but he is a bigger guy. Same is true with Corey.
So, like I said, we'll have to re-evaluate this for next year since I wouldn't want to change the rules at this point. Particularly since it would benefit me.

I think you guys should keep it to the IKF Standard. Currently the primier class is heavy at 390. Their is also a 365 and a 350 class. Personally and not just its easy for me but 390 is nice cause it allows a wide range of drivers to participate. I'll take a stab in my WF at some F-200's lol ;D

Wassssssup Cory! How you doing bud? Glad to see you found our new home.
Next year we will be taking a look at the WF weight. I'm not sure we'll go up to 390 since pretty much everyone would have to add weight (and I hated running at SM at 390 in my F200). And the thought of lifting John's kart with 40+ lbs of lead on it doesn't sound like fun...especially since his bad back means I usually get the rear end. LOL
You and your WF buddies still planning on joining us at Awater?

For the lighter guys.... the 390 works becuase with a starter and batery in working condition you have added a substantial amount of weight. This plus a little lead and you all will be their. That way those of us that will be dry 385 can still be on a equal footing. Running supper light weight will scare off any of my travelers from Santa Maria for sure. Say it everyone 390#!!!

Man, I weigh 175 pounds and weigh in at 350 in the animal, which would be about 365 for a WF. I would have to add 25 pounds to make WF 390!! Of course, I don't have a WF...
Still, I would run the heavier weight if it meant a better field...

For WHO! LOL I'm only about 12-15 pounds off that but after running 390 at SM the thought of doing that make my hernia hurt.

Ok my mistake, I think i cross posted this weight deal. I will be a ways over at 365 so it would be difficult for me to be fast...... Brad whats 15 pounds when your 375.... What about the other WF Nor Cal drivers what are their thoughts?
