390 all the way!!!!there is plenty of us to help load unload karts at the track. i think it levels out the playing field. plus lighter guys can move the weight around as a tuning device to benifit them. it would discurage heavier drivers from racing if they know that they r 20-30 lbs over. iknow it has affected my decision more than once in sprint and roadracing. of course it wouldnt hurt for me to loose a few either.

390 sounds good... i had 20 lbs on my clone which left me about three pounds heavy... even 355 sounds better than the 300 and 310 in HPV2!!!!!!!!!

Alright you NECROposters, find something more than a year and a half old to respond to, eh? LMAO! Considering that most of us are on the ahhhhhhhh fattie side (myself included) maybe we need to talk about this?

Brad, Earlier this year we started racing at 365lbs, but found ourselves racing against only 1-2 karts, so we switched to the 390 lb weight class and had 7-8 karts to race against, ( 16 ) karts for the annual night race. We also discovered that the kart handled better at the heavier weight. So it does not make any difference to us which weight we run at. IKF has the (365) and )390) weight classes in thier rule book. Thanks, Bob,

Can there be a WF Lite & WF Heavy? There's not a lot of room to add 25-35 lbs. of dead weight for those who are gravity challenged. Which ever way you go, someone gets penalized so just divide it between 365 & 390.

Actually, we have been kicking around the idea of having two classes (run together of course) med (365) and heavy (390). That way the lighter guys (like yourself and Rich for example) don't have to add a bunch of weight but still have plenty of other guys to race against.
I believe this will be an agenda item for the next NFRA conference call which should be coming up very soon.
