Sean, have you registered for the race already? I think the deadline has already passed and they will not be doing race day registration for this race.
If you have registered, then narrow you kart up as much as possible. I think I run my rear width in the 40s. As far as tire pressure goes, I've run as high as the low 20s and the more normal 15ish without a discernible difference in performance.

On a 4 cycle, you narrow up the kart to give it less frontal area, a little up on the air pressure but don't overdo, you risk keeping the tires cold and reducing the contact patch, which added together lands you somewhere in Carmel-by-the-sea. I'd stay with regular tire pressure for your first race.
You need to drive in slow motion. No sudden moves, as that will also hasten you trip to Carmel and possibly take someone with you.
Stop at the store on the way and buy some Depends. You will need them the first time a 250 superkart passes you.
