We had talked about having another test session a little closer to home since a number of folks haven't even had a chance to get into their karts yet this year since they are still being worked on. Tommy, are you still up for doing bumper fabrication/welding at the track for those of us that still need to get legal for '11? We could also have a training session on WF carbs once I go through the program at Terry Ives place. So we could call it the NFRA Test Session #2 Bumper Fabfest Anti Carb Gooathon and watch some dirt racing day! Ok, a bit of a mouthful I'll admit. ;D |

I'm planning on doing some practice at Dixon's swap meet.
Who else will be going?
What time are you going to arrive?
Also, what are good gears for a clone at Dixon (driver & driven)?

i am going to try and get there early... i dont think im up for running the dirt track as i havent even looked at my kart yet to see what needs to be done. But i would love to watch.

I inherited some new unused plastic bodywork. I've got a dozen 08 style side pods in gray (CIK19/CA/08) and four or five of the newest style (RLV2623) - two are GP used ones with graphics - others are new. I also have about eight complete drivers panels (top panel and wraparound lower part) silver black and red RLV2810 & RLV2812. Also got one 08 front bumper in red. I actually got three but one is fitted to my BLUE 2000 Top Kart after some serious hacksaw mods! and figure I could keep a spare for the Intrepid too although again - mismatch on the color.
I am coming to the swap meet early as I have to leave by noon (little league commitments!).
I also just got a brand new ARC prepped box stock clone motor in the box. Its my spare/third but I am seriously considering getting a WF instead. I wonder if its worth bringing it. I mean it arrived from ARC today! Stock cam - .039 main jet as chosen for me by Tom @ ARC.
Are people going to be practicing? I was thinking of bringing either the clone or the Aixro but if the track is busy I'm very conscious of being in the way!

Oh yeah I'm planning on practicing! Bring your kart out and get some laps in. Don't EVEN worry about getting in the way.

OK Aixro packed up in back of car for Jeremy Clarkson - er I mean Sean to play on.
I am thinking though I might bring the trailer so I can haul the clone too - my practicing on the Aixro I think is actually doing my learning harm (it does me physical harm with the MG Yellows on that's for sure).
Is there any chance there will be NFRA tee shirts for sale???
