is any tire further out then the bumper? You may want to sell it and get a metal one or maybe a cadet size if you really want plastic, however, it is only 42" long and may be illegal on a full size chassis.

A 42" bumper and 6" wide tires will limit the rear width to 48".

Can you return it? Tommy is making some very nice metal bumpers for about half the cost of the plastic ones.

Can't return but I found an answer. Martel has used rear hubs so I will head down there today and pick up some wider ones. Can anyone tell me whats the widest track I can run in the rear?

Tom, are you racing the Dixon cross-over on April 2. If you are I can swing by and buy the bumper from you. That is the last thing I need to buy to get my kart ready for the April 10 race (or just the Main for me).
For those that may think I am ready, I said last thing to buy. My tires are not on the kart, side pod starter hole not cut, number not changed, has not been scaled, blah, blah, blah. I stopped preparing so it wouldn't rain, and now I pay the price. Aggghhhhh!!!

Tom, what type of tubing are you making the bumpers out of? I was thinking about making my own but not sure if I'll have time to get one done before the Davis race....if that's the case any chance I could get one for an Emmick? How much are you selling them for? -Kevin

Tom, I am going to call you tomorrow to see if we can meet up sometime this week. I really need to get a bumper so I can install it before the 4/10/2011 race.
Because I have Little League duties on 4/10 I talked to Blue Max and I was told I could register in the morning, complete tech, and then leave. I can then show up to race when I get there in the afternoon. Hopefully I get there in time. If not it is a donation to Blue Max.
I will not have time to deal with a bumper on Sunday.

Ron. eventually we'll get that bumper to you, looks like the next opportunity will be PC, I'm down to the last of the surplus, and the last minute rush is over, so everything will be built to order from now on. so if anyone needs one let me know before hand, as I will most likely only be showing up sunday for PC, my usual arrive and drive race strategy. if you need it sooner let me know, maybe we can work something out.

I can meet you sometime tomorrow late morning, or sometime the rest of the day. If you are available, tell me when and where.
