I see that Prairie City has a "crossover" race on Sun. 3/13/11.
Could someone please explain this for me, or maybe give me a link to read about it?
I think it has something to do with the three local tracks:
P.C., Dixon, Davis.

The crossover series started 20 years ago as a cooperative effort between the three tracks you mentioned. Originally called the "tri-county series" it is a "super club race" sortof thing. Each race earns points towards your club's championship if you are a member of one of any one of those three clubs. For the racers, it offers the opportunity to travel a bit and race a different track now and then, for the clubs it promises at least one race with theoretically triple attendance.

Back in the day we used to have the tri-county and the crossover. The tri-county was a club level travel series. I believe it has been replaced by the gold rush series.

And I believe it is no longer required for at least Blue Max members to do the crossovers at the other tracks...so I understood Leo to say
