No conflict. Just friendly discussion. ;D BTW, everyone is part of the voting crew. Too bad this didn't come up over the winter in one of our meetings but we'll get it resolved, no problem.

Ron - F200 Kart weights 140-160 pounds depending on the brand. I would count on adding at least 10 pounds. It is easier to take off in a hurry after practice than to put it on in a hurry.

Good idea Brad, thanks for the weight info. I am just running out of time between now and Sunday. I will probably mount three fives equally spaced around the kart.
I still have to install the seat and spacers (it is close to being in the correct spot). Last night I adjusted lash, pulled spark plug wire, and cranked to check for fuel pump operation. Passed with flying colors. Carburetor is questionable? New carb kit coming in today and I will rebuild tonight. New tires coming in today and I will mount tonight. I need to mount my other steering whell with MyChron (or just drive by the seat of my pants). And Bumper Saturday or Sunday.
And by the way, I also am a Manager for one Little League team, and Coach on another Little League team. Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

F200 Kart weights 140-160 pounds I am always right at 200 pounds, so that means I should scale at 340-360.

The whole being 10-15 lbs over the weight never bothered me , I ran 10 lbs heavy all year last year and it seemed to work out fine for me....cough...... champion.......cough. I Could see if we had a couple 275lb drivers that there might be a point of discussion here.

For those that I raced with before I think you will agree that I personally don't care if I come across at 250, 350, 365, 375, as long as I am considered legal. If I am over the weight so be it. If I am in last place, but had a good battle with someone on the track and we both finished, that was a great race.
Do we have 4 racing F200 at Dixon (Don, Paul, Scott, and Ron). I think Scott wants 350. I don't care as long as I am legal. I don't know what Paul and Don want. Who else is F200 out there? I don't want to see 4 of us race, but 2 in heavy and 2 in light.
I still like the idea of using the club weight (to accomodate their racers that may not follow NFRA if there are any), and if they do not post then 365. That way we know ahead of time.

Sounds like my mantra exactly ron , My votes for 350 and if after some racing its obvious that needs to be adjusted we can adjust.

Ron, I don't think BW wants to help lift my Kart so my votes for 350. Four weeks ago I came across at 362 at the first Dixon race. That doesn't mean I can't add or subtract from my 45Lbs of ballast.

It's no wonder people don't want to lift your kart. Too much lead. I am putting about 60 on my son's cadet kart. Just the lead alone is too much to lift, let alone the kart too.

I realy put a little more than 53Lbs on my Kart but I didn't want to give up that speed trick. You know thats what makes me fast.....
