What weight do we use. NFRA is F200 heavy at 365, and Dixon January 2011 rule states 350.

Well, my first take would be that we go by the Burris rules of 365. The Dixon club F200 class is at 350 this year. So if you are under 365 you will be DQed for NFRA points but will be just fine for the race and for Dixon points. I don't believe Scott has any intention of defending his NFRA F200 Cup championship in 2011. So, I guess that means there will be a new sheriff in town this year....but you'd better come across at 365+. ;D

How will we know they are light? The NFRA Secretary uses mylaps to keep all the official points straight, and if someone rolls across at 350+ they will not be noted vs the person at 365+ if 350 is legal for that club...

It's midnight, I got the engine completedly mounted, fuel system set, pedals adjusted, safety wired everything, and adjusted lash. Seat is almost in, two more holes to drill. I will weight it for 365. That's not a problem because I have 70 pounds of lead in the garage for my son's cadet. If I come in under 365 I will let you know.
Now all I need are the rear bumper this weekend, new numbers on the kart, and to receive my new tires. Other than the F200 chain guard (the bar with the holes in it over the clutch) is a chain guard, wrapped all the way around the chain so it is not visible from the top, required.

If you want to know what i'm doing this year ask me. Please remember there isn't any reason I can't race all of my club as well as all my NFRA races thank you. As for the Weight , the F200 heavy weight of 365 was instated with heavy drivers in mind. I think this years F200 drivers can all get very close to the Burris F200 lite weight of 350 lbs as raced at the 4cycle nats.. could we poll the f200 drivers about this insted of the W/F drivers? And I beleave the Davis as well as the P.C. entry forms show F200 at 350#. Didn't the NFRA start with the F200 class at 350 lbs? Give me A call and lets talk 510) 862 3721 Scott Smith, 2009 and 2010 NFRA F200 Champion!

You realize this is good news - that we have enough participation to worry about weights. Previously we and the tracks could be lazy and just state the engine. No more. When you register state which class you are running, not just the engine: "F200 Heavy" "WF Heavy" "F200 Light" "WF Medium" "WF Light"

You said you and Paul were going to run the Dixon races and you wouldn't be traveling much with the NFRA....

Davis form (although 2010) states 375. Add 10 more pounds.

Brad, You know I'm not gona pass up a good party! When that was said, there were only two of us for f2 in 2011. Now we are four and counting! Please don't even go there with DQing F200 talk from the W/F Rep.. I can understand this topic coming up with our F200 Rep., and Prez. about NFRA F200 rules but come on are people tring to squash out the F-200 class from the NFRA?? I think ive been working verry hard too help rebuld the F200 class. I havent had much luck doing this, Ive only sparked one drivers intrust so far (PJ) and we have Don and Ron.

I cna't answer for myself until I scale the kart. Does anyone have an idea how much the kart weighs. I weigh 200. WoooHOOO, let's start a pool for how much Ron comes across the scales after the first practice on Sunday. How bout a $1 a number and closest to it takes the pot? I pick 383. Jeez Scoot yer making it sound like the WF "man" is repressing the F200 underclass or something. lol As Brad and Scoot B said in another thread, we can do whatever we want. This would have been a great agenda item for one of our conference calls but the issue never came up and no F200 drivers made to our last couple of calls. 365 has always been the weight for F200s. You have to remember that back in the day, even at 365, the majority of drivers (being the mostly old fat F'ers, myself included) were already giving up upwards of 20#s and sometimes more. Now, does it need to stay at 365, heck no. Seems to me that if the majority of drivers agree on a weight before the season starts, well, then that's going to be the weight. While 350 is attractive for you lucky guys who have to add 30 pounds just to get to the minimum, from a class building perspective it isn't so attractive for new people coming into the class if they will be pushing 35#s+ over. So what exactly are you your plans for 2011 Scott and PJ, I'm a little confused? Scott I know you said your main focus was winning a championship jacket from Kinsmen and for the most part were just going to doing club events and not traveling this year (for the most part anyway)? And Paul I thought you said that particuarly with the new bambino on the way you wouldn't even be making some of the club races let alone NFRA races? Do you guys expect to be racing with us more that just the 2 Dixon races and another 1 or 2 here and there? I'm asking because it wouldn't be fair to ask someone coming across the scales at 380 to give up 30# when the guys that are at 350 with no weight only plan on making 4 of the 12 races. I'm glad to see something has changed and it looks like we'll be racing together again. ;D I thought you'd be back... By the way, just to clarify, when I said we can do whatever we want I was talking about as a group, not what Brad, Scott, and Brad decide.

I pick 383. 383, what scale are we planning on using. Or were you just referencing the Chevy 383 stroker. I have enough conflict at my job. I didn't intend to create conflict here. I just want to know if I need to bring weight and start drilling bolt holes. I personally dislike having multiple weight categories especially when we only have a handful of drivers. Right now I just want to drive. I didn't attend any meetings as I didn't believe I was still a legitimate part of the voting crew because I did not race in 2010. Another option is to run the "club weights as posted". If not posted by the club, then it is 365 per NFRA.
