Was on my way to Dixon to run laps but work and the nice weather caught up to me. I won't be able to sneak away until 2:00 or so and that means running laps tomorrow in Davis, hopefully.

I am hoping to hit Davis tomorrow - They are having a track work day and wanted to ask if it was still OK to practice at the same time???

Good grief. Not getting a break here. Was all set to practice at Davis this past weekend but my wife Kathy got knocked down onto the curb by our dog and now is resigned to bed with percoset and nerve damage. My kart is all ready with weights, safety wire and number board. Unless things drastically improve where I don't have to be home to carry her from room to room I won't be making my first race this weekend.
I hope the Dixon races where good. Perfect weather I bet!
Mike.

Thanks! Things looking good today. She's up and about and no longer taking the major narcs. Now looks something like a bout of sciatica to me. If I can just get her in the inversion boots....
There is chance for this weekend yet!

I hurt my back April 2009 and had to stop racing. I had a lot of pain. After over a year of doctors, meds, chiros, etc, I was just not getting better. I was talked into the inversion table. It was the best $100 I spent. Within days I was feeling better, Within weeks I was excercising again. Within months I was not taking meds, or going to the doctor or chiro. Now I get notes from the chiro saying haven't seen you in a long time. I only wish I did it sooner for myself.
If she doesn't have a problem that will be made worse by inversion she should gently give it a try.

Unfortunately I did not make the race. Little League was very eventful. To bad the events were not good. Two games, three players put on disable list. One player, other team, injury to knee on first pitch of the game. Next inning my son pitching, injured catching hand on return line drive, out for maybe 1-2 weeks. Next inning, other team, players collide attempting catch on fast fly ball. One player broken wrist.
After that day I was not going to chance injury to myself or others. Karma just wasn't there.
So how was the race?

It was fun. We all missed you Ron. We kept looking for you to show. Great weather, about 12ish NFRAers, and a lot of fun on the track! The best part was watching PJ spin out and then make it all the way back to second from waaayyy back in the pack.
Oh, a big thank you to all who helped me with both my kart and the boy's! I wouldn't have made it without you all. Especially to Brad, Mark, Luis and Rich for the wrenching and the loaner parts!

I also got the benefit of others wrenching on my stuff. I arrived not planning to race, because I have gained 50 pounds since I last raced and the kart did not fit me anymore. Somehow from the time I arrived until first practice Brad, Terri, Rich, and Luis got my Burris tires changed over to YKC, got a seat big enough for me installed, got the black widow webs mostly removed, etc. I love racing with this group of folks!
