Very nice Simon. WTH kind of line was that I was taking coming onto the straight? !!! LOL Jeez, I was 1-2 feet off the line through most of the back section. I thought using the tires I've been running since the Grands last June instead of my new ones would be a good idea so as to not get over-stuck but that idea is going into the bad plan file. Oh well, there's always next time! Good job!! As Ron said in another thread, I'm surprised you didn't make the pass in T1 a couple of times. I saw you were there and gave up the inside line at least twice. But having said that, I appreciate not ending up in a pile of twisted metal had things gone wrong. You played it smart after seeing how you were getting onto the straight much better than I was that day. This is going to be a VERY fun season!

Yes, with hind sight I was too cautious.
... and what was that start all about? I had my path blocked by some guy in an F200 while the outside row took off down the road !

Actually it looks like the F200 launched out of a rocket. Then number 9 dropped in front of you. Go to second 0:20. I was not in front of you because I hand to start in the back.

Ahh yes, but rewind a little .. at 0:14 you clearly see the outside row running off ahead on the pole kart.
Just looking for excuses ;-)

Yes I see what you mean. We should all have cameras mounted in all directions. I actually like watching these videos because I don't remember half the stuff that happened on the track.

Simon, we need to work on that bumper lock/on stuff like Brad and Luis have mounted on there Karts. You could let go just before turn 1, or not.

Yeah it was a pretty crazy start alright. As Luis said, I thought he was experiencing the same thing I was earlier in the day where you hit the go button but then the motor just falls flat on its face. I WAS on his bumper coming to the green and when it dropped it felt like my poor little motor was trying to power 2 karts. LOL Then I see Mr. Bura going around the outside since Luis and I weren't going anywhere fast (anyone got video of the 87 making passes before the start finish line? LOL) and I'm thinking whaaaaa? The thought of going 3 wide into turn 1 wasn't giving me the warm and fuzzies. But, we all made it through without making any contact (that I am aware of anyway) just like you'd expect from the drivers of the NFRA. ;D

I just watched the Heat and didn't realize I was in the video. I had a decent race going until the chain went and my hand went up. Arrrrggghhhhh!!!!!!
