Hey any of you ex-cloneheads,
I am looking for a Max Torque clutch with a 16 driver for my son. I finally understood why he can't keep up with the other kids in jr1-2 cycle. With the 4.5 wheels in the back he isn't getting the umph he needs. Works with big wheels like us but not so much for him. ;D Wondering if anyone has a spare they'd sell me? Thanks! Terry

Terry,
ARC Racing sells the clutch of course, but, they also sell just the gears for it. It is easy to change. If you already knew this, "Never Mind".

Sorry Terry, I sold my clone clutches at the Dixon swap meet earlier in the year. What do you have on there now ?
Do you think it's a realistic goal to get a Jr1 clone to keep up with a Jr-1 Comer ? From my limited experience with experimenting with the cadet clone it seemed like it would probably out pull a 2-cycle comer/hpv-1 off a corner, but just didn't have the headroom in revs to keep up in a straight line. I think with the restrictor in there they don't make the same kind of power as the Comer.
Having said that, if you are running a 15 tooth clutch driver, I can see that you would have to run some tiny gears on the back, so a 16 or 17 tooth drive would be better.
Simon.

Hey Simon, Actually yes. Travis tested his jr1 clone in Reno against his jr1-1 cycle and without fiddling with gears much or working on the chassis he had it within .5-1 second of the jr1-2 time. Close enough for me I am going to order a clutch if noone has one. I just thought I'd check here first.

Wow, yes! That's really impressive if they have managed to get 'restrictor plate' Jr-1 clone around Reno within .5 of a second of a Comer. I'll bet the clones pulled nicely out of the corners !

I do believe it was sans restrictor. Unless there are other Jr1 clones I will run keevan without his restrictor. Let the fun begin!

Ohh ok, that makes sense. I could barely keep up with Daniel with my WF when he tried the cadet with clone an no restrictor. He killed me in the twisties but I could gain on him on the straight.
