Some NFRA racers couldn't make it to Monterey this past weekend, but we had fun (and success) at BlueMax instead.
Congratulations to Terry M. for her first podium finish (and trophy!). Terry did us NFRA folks proud with a hard run 2nd place finish, just edging me out. (I was pleased with a 3rd.) Ryan C's engine blew in the Heat race and he wasn't able to run the main.
How did the Monterey contingent make out?

How was the resurfaced Davis track Mark ?
Congrats on the podium Terry !
Sorry that the NFRA clones didn't make it to Monterey, I think you would have had fun !

The new surface is very nice on the big turn (#3) after the main straight. There is a bump when entering the main straight from the hairpin, but, we were told that will be fixed. Work is not yet complete.

It was a great race and a lot of fun battling Mark in the main. he almost had me at the chacane but I squeaked away by the skin of my teeth Sorry to have missed Monterey but really glad to have had a fun time with a reasonable turnout at Davis. Looking forward to actually seeing all of you again in july. I think you'll like the improvements...a little bumpy coming out of the hairpin, like Mark said, but that will be fixed. In the meantime, definitely different grip and less bumps than you all are used to at BM for sure! Wait'll you see the infield...it really is an infield now...no hazards to be afraid of if you skid into the center....
