I finally got around to servicing my kart ready for the next race and noticed one of my nice new Burris tires doesn't look too healthy. Here's a photo of the right front. Any suggestions why the rubber seems to be coming away right on the center line ? I have a question into Burris to see what they think as well.

Wow! Already got a response from Burris ... nice customer service !
"That is nothing to be concerned with. Periodically we will have some of the tires develop "stress relief" signs like you show in the photos and they do not impact wear, durability or performance."

I remember getting those (albeit very rarely) on Burris tires. I agree with Scott and Mike or Kurt that it doesn't seem to affect performance or longevity. One way to ensure this sort of thing doesn't happen is to drive SLOWER.... OK, it was worth a try, right?? ;D
